In fact, in recent days, landslides have continuously occurred in localities in the district, threatening the safety of people's lives and constructions.

According to the people in Son Duong and Yen Son districts, the weather is unusual, with heavy rains occurring right from the beginning of the season, not following the rules, negatively affecting production activities and damaging people's property.

Urgently overcome the consequences

According to Mr. Ma Quy Don, Vice Chairman of Na Hang District People's Committee, immediately after the natural disaster occurred, the District People's Committee directed and assigned responsible officials to go to the grassroots to grasp the situation and direct communes and towns to count the damage. At the same time, they guided people to quickly overcome the consequences of heavy rain and flooding, ensuring the stability of people's lives and production.

Na Hang Traffic Department workers cleared the landslide onto the road, ensuring smooth traffic.

Currently, the entire route from Na Hang town to Son Phu commune has been mobilized by specialized units with machinery and human resources to clear landslides and ensure smooth traffic. By 7:00 a.m. on May 19, the routes from the district center to the communes had returned to normal. As for households affected by landslides, neighbors and militia forces have also provided human resources to level and reinforce their houses to ensure safety.

Comrade Nguyen Van Thuan, Head of the provincial Department of Cultivation and Plant Protection, said that through inspection, some localities of Son Duong, Na Hang, Lam Binh, Chiem Hoa districts, and Tuyen Quang city had corn and rice fields that were downed, broken, and flooded by heavy rain. Comrade Bui Chi Thanh, Head of the Irrigation Sub-Department, Chief of Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue, shared that although it is just the beginning of the rainy season, heavy and very heavy rains have appeared, warning at level 2 (very dangerous level), showing that the level of natural disasters this year is difficult to predict and very dangerous. In addition, heavy rains and thunderstorms occur mainly in the evening, night and early morning. Therefore, to limit natural disasters, people need to raise their awareness and proactively respond. If you detect any unusual signs, quickly evacuate to a safe place to protect yourself and your loved ones.

In the recent provincial Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue Plan, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen The Giang requested: Districts and cities direct the People's Committees of communes, wards and towns to closely inspect vulnerable locations, post warning signs prohibiting people from entering dangerous areas; promptly inform people about weather developments and rainfall on social platforms and radio so that people can understand.
