Attractive beach tourism season 2025

Da Nang's beaches have many advantages that attract a large number of locals and tourists; therefore, relevant agencies and businesses are implementing many vibrant and attractive activities, ready for the 2025 beach tourism season.

According to Mr. Dao Dang Cong Trung, co-founder of Danang Free Diving, as summer approaches, tours combining freediving (diving without scuba gear) to admire fish and coral reefs and capture impressive images are becoming increasingly popular, attracting domestic and international tourists, as well as locals, to come and experience them. This activity is not dangerous but requires participants to know how to swim and dive, so before participating in a diving tour, tourists undergo at least six lessons including theory and practice, plus a swimming and diving skills test.

Along with scuba diving, parasailing, and surfing, stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) operators are also preparing for this year's beach tourism season. Mr. Le Dinh Tung, owner of Tung Le SUP, said that in the last two years, this activity has boomed, with the possibility of overcrowding during the April 30th and May 1st holidays and the summer. With high demand, many SUP businesses have emerged, leading to intense competition. Therefore, he is carefully preparing his paddleboards and instructors to provide excellent service and encourage repeat business for tourists.

According to Nguyen Thanh Tam, General Director of Viet An Group Joint Stock Company, for beach tourism, especially for international tourists, the company designs customized tour programs that reflect local identity while ensuring professionalism, multilingualism, and flexibility in timing. Specifically, eco-tour packages exploring Son Tra Peninsula, combining forest and sea experiences with eco-friendly and safe transportation, and underwater exploration such as scuba diving, will have guides fluent in English, Chinese, and Korean ready to serve…

According to Mr. Nguyen Duc Vu, Deputy Head of the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang's tourist beaches, in order to maximize the attractiveness of beach tourism, since 2014, the City People's Committee has agreed to assign the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang's tourist beaches to organize the annual beach tourism season event during the April 30th and May 1st holidays. To date, the program has become a cultural, sports , and tourism event with many rich and attractive activities. This year's 2025 beach tourism season will take place over 6 days, from April 26th to May 1st, at the East Sea Park and tourist beaches on Son Tra Peninsula.

The main activities taking place at the East Sea Park include: artistic kite performances, SUP competitions, summer wave swimming competitions, sailing demonstrations, marine sports demonstrations, the International Sea Rescue Competition, and mass yoga performances. “The 2025 beach tourism season program coincides with the April 30th and May 1st holidays to serve the large number of tourists flocking to the city for recreation and entertainment. We are focusing activities in the East Sea Park area, which has beaches that attract both domestic and international tourists. In addition, we are setting up check-in booths at Nguyen Tat Thanh beach; coordinating with Thanh Khe and Lien Chieu districts to encourage businesses to prepare facilities to serve locals and tourists. Throughout the summer, there will be many attractive recreational activities at the beaches; developing high-quality, safe marine sports tourism products, and exploring tours along the Son Tra peninsula to attract more tourists,” said Mr. Nguyen Duc Vu.
