Vice Chairman of Lac Duong District People's Committee Le Chi Quang Minh reported on the socio -economic development situation in the first 6 months of the year.

At the meeting, the District People's Council listened to reports and submissions from the District People's Committee, representatives of specialized departments and offices, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the district such as: Report on socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security in the first 6 months of the year and solutions to implement tasks in the last 6 months of 2024; Report on participation in government building in the first 6 months of 2024, key tasks in the last 6 months of the year; Report summarizing voters' opinions and recommendations before the 15th session of the District People's Council; Submission of the Standing Committee of the District People's Council proposing to issue a Resolution on the 2025 supervision program of the Standing Committee of the District People's Council and Committees of the District People's Council...

The Committees of the District People's Council also reported on the examination of reports, submissions and draft resolutions submitted to the sessions of the Economic - Social Committees and the Legal Committee.

Delegates question at the Session

Carrying out the socio-economic development task in the first 6 months of 2024, the Party committees, authorities and the entire political system of Lac Duong district have focused on leadership and direction, together with the consensus of the people and businesses, the locality has achieved many positive results, most of the indicators have grown, higher than the plan.

Some socio-economic targets achieved and exceeded the set plan such as: Total state budget revenue in the district reached 120 billion VND, reaching 52.4% of the estimate, of which the district collected 89.6 billion VND, reaching 53.1% of the estimate; attracting over 1.2 million tourists with revenue reaching 185.6 billion VND, an increase of 15% in the number of visitors and an increase of 16.5% in revenue compared to the same period in 2023, tourism services and tourism products are increasingly diverse and improved...

Representatives of departments and offices answer questions

Agricultural production is maintained and developed, plant and animal diseases are controlled; linkages in agricultural production and the development of OCOP products are regularly focused on and implemented. Up to now, the whole district has 60 products certified as OCOP products.

Forest protection and management work has been strengthened and reduced in all three criteria. The work of clearing encroachment on forest land and illegal mining has been handled promptly. Attracting investment, implementing key projects, planning, scheduling and digital transformation has seen positive changes.

Trade and service activities are stable, meeting market demand. Social security quality is guaranteed. 17/17 schools are maintained to meet national standards. Disease prevention work is regularly focused on. Basic information and propaganda activities are timely to meet tasks.

The management apparatus at all levels has been improved in an effective and efficient manner to meet the requirements of the tasks. Political security and social order and safety have been maintained stably. The work of receiving people and resolving complaints and denunciations has been carried out promptly...

In addition to the achieved results, there are still some shortcomings and limitations such as: The progress of granting land use right certificates and handling administrative procedures in the land sector has not met the needs of the people; the site clearance of some projects is still slow; there are still many petitions, complaints, denunciations, reflections and recommendations from citizens related to the land sector...

The delegates of the District People's Council focused on reviewing, discussing and evaluating the results of the implementation of socio-economic development tasks in the first 6 months of the year and proposed specific solutions to complete the annual plan targets; reviewed the work reports of the first 6 months of the year of relevant agencies, reports responding to and resolving voters' opinions sent to the District People's Council...

At the same time, discuss, question and answer questions on key and urgent issues that are of interest to the district People's Council delegates, voters and public opinion such as: Continue to strengthen propaganda and mobilize people to participate in health insurance to ensure the set targets; promote the work of mobilizing land clearance to carry out a number of projects to expand and upgrade roads; need to soon have operating regulations to effectively operate the K'Ho Traditional Cultural Village in Dung K'Si village, Da Chais commune; inspect, guide and arrange funding sources to invest in the construction of fire prevention and fighting items for state agencies...

Delegates vote to pass Resolutions at the Session

After 1 day of urgent work with a high sense of responsibility, the People's Council of Lac Duong district unanimously agreed and voted to pass 11 resolutions including: Resolution on promulgating the 2025 supervision program of the District People's Council and its Committees; Resolution on socio-economic development tasks, ensuring national defense and security in the last 6 months of 2024; Resolution on approving the final settlement of the state budget in 2023; Resolution on promulgating measures to ensure the implementation of democracy at the grassroots level in Lac Duong district; Resolution on investment policies, adjusting investment policies of public investment projects; Resolution on adjusting and supplementing the medium-term public investment plan for the period 2021-2025; Resolution on supplementing the medium-term public investment plan for the period 2021-2025 to implement the national target program; Resolution on adjusting and supplementing the public investment plan for 2024; Resolution approving the public investment plan for 2025; Resolution approving the investment policy for projects in 2025 in the district; Resolution approving the adjustment of a number of indicators, land types, and land use planning until 2030.

District Party Secretary, Chairman of District People's Council Su Thanh Hoai delivered a closing speech at the meeting.

In his closing speech at the session, comrade Su Thanh Hoai - Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the Lac Duong District People's Council emphasized: With the important contents of the session, the delegates' contributions helped the District People's Council have a basis to decide and pass resolutions that ensure quality, feasibility, meet the socio-economic development requirements of the district and the concerns of voters.

The Secretary of the District Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of Lac Duong district also requested that after the Session, the District People's Committee, based on the resolutions issued by the District People's Council, promptly concretize and organize the implementation for agencies and units to seriously implement; assign the Standing Committee of the District People's Council, the Committees of the District People's Council and the delegates of the District People's Council to supervise the implementation of the resolutions according to their authority.

At the same time, it is recommended that the district People's Council delegates carry out well the activities of meeting voters, reporting the results of the Session to voters; thereby listening to the thoughts and aspirations of voters and researching, understanding and grasping the reality of social life to promptly reflect and make recommendations to the district People's Council, People's Committee and relevant agencies.
