Van Yen District People's Council held a special meeting to review and approve the General Planning Project for Mau A town and surrounding areas.

Yen Bai - On the afternoon of June 7, the People's Council of Van Yen district, term XVIII, 2021 - 2026, held the 10th session - a thematic session to review and approve the General Planning Project of Mau A town and surrounding areas until 2035.

The meeting approved the presentation and explanatory report summarizing the Project of the District People's Committee; approved the Master Plan for the construction of Mau A town and surrounding areas until 2035 according to the criteria of a type IV urban area by 2025, building Mau A town, Van Yen district into an urban area with influence and worthy position in the region.

At the meeting, the delegates of the District People's Council spent time reviewing the contents of the Project, raising the sense of responsibility to discuss, analyze and clarify related contents in the planning project such as: the suitability of the General Planning Project for the construction of Mau A town and its vicinity until 2035 with the socio -economic development plan of the district and the development plan of other sectors and fields that have been approved; reviewing the suitability of land use planning, land use structure, technical and economic indicators, spatial development orientation, technical infrastructure system planning to develop Mau A town in association with environmental protection, ecological balance, ensuring security and national defense, etc.

The meeting passed the Resolution approving the Master Plan for the construction of Mau A town and its vicinity until 2035. This is a very important resolution, greatly affecting the socio-economic development of the district and will be the legal basis for the implementation of the construction of Mau A town and its vicinity until 2035, helping to closely and harmoniously connect Mau A town with the socio-economic region, promoting the integration and development process on the basis of maximizing the exploitation of potentials and advantages to attract investment, promoting internal strength to build Mau A town into an urban area with influence and a worthy position in the region.

Thereby contributing to promoting investment attraction, socio-economic development and meeting the requirements of economic, cultural, social, security and defense development of the district, ensuring sustainable urban development, high competitiveness, synchronous infrastructure, comfortable living environment, flexibly meeting development needs in the market economy and the context of international integration.

On June 6-7, the Farmers' Association of Yen Bai city held the 10th Congress of Delegates for the 2023-2028 term, with the theme: "Innovating working methods, building a strong Association, enhancing the role and responsibility of the farmer class in agricultural development, building new rural areas, civilized urban areas, contributing to building Yen Bai city to soon become a type II urban area "Green, harmonious, unique and happy".
