DTO - In recent years, the Association for Promotion of Education at all levels in Cao Lanh City has focused on strengthening the organization of the Association and developing new members. At the same time, it has carried out well the work of promoting education and talents at units and localities; implemented the development of learning models, mobilized the Fund for Promotion of Education to support poor and disadvantaged students to continue going to school.

Developing learning models in the community, Cao Lanh City's Association for the Promotion of Education has deployed to the Association's grassroots levels to promote the construction of learning models such as: "Learning families", "Learning clans", "Learning communities" and "Learning units". The grassroots Associations at all levels in the area regularly innovate the content and form of propaganda for people about the work of promoting learning, promoting talents, building a learning society; criteria for implementing learning models; mobilizing cadres, party members, union members, association members, and people to participate in implementing learning models. As a result, by the end of 2022, the Association for the Promotion of Education at all levels of Cao Lanh City coordinated to review and recognize 38,077 learning families, 326 learning clans, 69 learning communities, and 86 learning units.

Along with building learning models, the City's Association for Promotion of Education at all levels mobilized cadres, members, union members, teachers, people, students, and pupils to respond to the "Lifelong Learning Week"; maintained the movement of reading books and telling stories in schools. In particular, the Association at all levels promoted propaganda, mobilization, and encouraged people to build family bookcases to create reading habits for family members, supplement knowledge, experience, and life skills, contributing to the development of reading culture in the community. Through communication activities and the building of learning models, gradually raise awareness, self-study spirit, and lifelong learning among cadres, party members, union members, association members, and people. To date, the city has built 37,975 learning corners at home.

In addition, the Association for Promotion of Education at all levels coordinates with school units and socio -political organizations to effectively launch many movements to promote education. Notably, the movement to raise piggy banks to promote education has been actively responded to by school and mass organizations and people. In 2022, the whole city raised 8,600 piggy banks inside and outside schools with a total revenue of 3.2 billion VND. In the first 6 months of 2023 alone, school branches and households raised over 7,400 piggy banks, raising a fund of more than 1.5 billion VND. Through the movement to raise piggy banks to promote education, a fund has been created to support many gifts and learning tools for students in difficult circumstances, reducing difficulties and helping them study with peace of mind.

Caring for and supporting poor and disadvantaged students, the City's Association for the Promotion of Education at all levels regularly maintains contact and coordinates well with school units in exchanging, sharing, and grasping information related to students from poor households, near-poor households, households in difficult circumstances or facing sudden difficulties. Thereby, the Association for the Promotion of Education at all levels actively mobilizes individuals, organizations, businesses, and units inside and outside the province to support the Fund for the Promotion of Education to award scholarships, gifts, and learning tools to students to help them reduce difficulties and continue studying with peace of mind. In 2022, the City's Association for the Promotion of Education at all levels mobilized the Fund for the Promotion of Education to receive over 4.7 billion VND, organizing the awarding of 3,257 scholarships and 128,537 gifts (bicycles, study corners, health insurance, etc.) to students from poor households and disadvantaged households with good academic performance. From the beginning of 2023 to now, the Association at all levels has mobilized to award 816 scholarships and 2,454 gifts to poor and disadvantaged students with a total amount of more than 1.7 billion VND... The Cao Lanh City Association for the Promotion of Education and its branches also mobilized benefactors to help and sponsor 61 students in difficult circumstances with support levels ranging from 500,000 VND - 2.5 million VND/month.

According to Ms. Mai My Hanh - Vice President of Cao Lanh City's Association for the Promotion of Education, in the coming time, Cao Lanh City's Association for the Promotion of Education will continue to consolidate and improve the organization of the Association, improve the quality of activities of the Association for the Promotion of Education in communes and wards; propagate and disseminate the criteria for implementing "Learning Families", "Learning Clans", "Learning Communities" and "Learning Units" to households, agencies and organizations to spread and develop the movement to build a learning society in the city. Proactively coordinate to grasp information and circumstances of students in difficulty; actively mobilize the Fund for the Promotion of Education to support scholarships, bicycles, and learning tools for poor and disadvantaged students; coordinate with related sectors to effectively implement the work of promoting education and talent.
