In order to effectively study and follow Uncle Ho, the Criminal Police Department closely follows the direction of the Party Committee and the City Police Department's Board of Directors, proactively proposes and develops plans to attack and suppress all types of crimes at each time; especially during holidays, Tet, political , cultural and social events. At the same time, proactively grasp the situation of criminal activities and social evils as a basis for assessing and identifying the methods, tricks, nature and rules of operation of each type of crime. From there, advise the City Police Department's Board of Directors to direct, establish special projects, develop plans, and direct units to effectively carry out peak periods of attacking and suppressing crimes such as: Theft of property, fraud, abuse of trust to appropriate property, gambling and organizing gambling; intentional injury...

Each officer of the Criminal Police Department has worked together to solve many special cases and cases, achieved many feats, contributed to curbing the activities of all types of criminals, ensuring social order and safety in the area. Over the past 10 years, the Criminal Police Department has organized the fight and destroyed 119 special cases; arrested and handled 435 dangerous and especially dangerous criminals... The rate of investigation and discovery of very serious and especially serious cases reached 98.91%. On April 28, 2025, the Criminal Police Department of Hue City Police was awarded the noble title "Hero of the People's Armed Forces" by the Party and State.

One of the effective ways of the Hue City Police Party Committee in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style and the 6 teachings of Uncle Ho to the People's Public Security is to regularly maintain studying activities associated with annually organizing conferences to disseminate and deploy the topics "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's style on fulfilling the responsibility of setting an example; People's Public Security promotes the glorious tradition, sets an example in leading the Party building, building a clean and strong force", "People's Public Security is exemplary, takes the lead in studying and implementing President Ho Chi Minh's Testament, building a team of cadres and Party members who are "diligent, thrifty, honest and upright". At the same time, organize conferences to commend and honor typical and advanced collectives and individuals in studying and implementing Uncle Ho's 6 teachings in the period of 2018 - 2023...

Since then, many models and examples in the movement of All People Protecting National Security (ANTQ) have been built and implemented effectively, mobilizing the strength of the masses and the political system to participate in the cause of protecting security and order in the area. That has demonstrated the role of being close to the people, respecting the people, and closely attached to the people "When the people need, when the people are in trouble, the police are there" of each Hue City police officer.

“In order for studying and following Uncle Ho to become more practical and effective, leaders must uphold their role and responsibility and be an example for officers and soldiers to follow. In the past 4 years, Hue City Police has built and maintained 117 models in the movement of All people protecting national security, 212 skillful mass mobilization models; 698 collectives and 19,678 individuals have been commended at all levels, hundreds of collectives and individuals have been recorded in the golden book of Hue City Police... For many consecutive years, Hue City Police has been awarded the Flag of the leading unit in the emulation movement for national security by the Ministry of Public Security and the City People's Committee.
