" My idea is to control the ball and attack strongly. Players must be really flexible and agile. In the past three matches, there were times when my players couldn't do it, but that's okay, they will gradually improve, " coach Hoang Anh Tuan emphasized.

U23 Vietnam scored 4 goals against U23 Malaysia.

U23 Vietnam faced many difficulties in the two group stage matches but easily defeated U23 Malaysia in the semi-finals of the 2023 Southeast Asian U23 tournament.

Dinh Xuan Tien scored 2 goals and Quoc Viet had 1 goal to help U23 Vietnam lead 3-0 in the first half. In the second half of the match, each team had another goal and U23 Vietnam won 4-1.

The strategist calmly said: " We have analyzed our opponents. Whether facing 1-1 or 2-2, Malaysia is not good, we always win. Malaysia's defense is not strong enough to stop us. Today my players showed good form. We attacked strongly ."
