Today (April 9), the news that Coach Park Hang-seo was appointed as Vice President of the KFA was announced. The former captain of the Vietnamese national team will be responsible for supporting the orientation and development of the Korean football system. Former Indonesian national team coach Shin Tae-yong also holds this important position of the KFA. The Vice Presidents of the KFA include: Shin Jeong-sik, Park Hang-seo, Shin Tae-yong, Lee Yong-soo.

Thus, the KFA leadership will have two head coaches who have worked in Vietnam. They are Mr. Park Hang-seo in the role of vice president, and Mr. Chung Hae-seong, who holds the position of chairman of the team strengthening committee. The KPA vice president also has former coach of the Indonesian team Shin Tae-yong.
Mr. Park Hang-seo has 20 years of experience in Korean football as a head coach, having led a number of Korean teams. He also worked as an assistant to coach Guus Hiddink, making a great contribution to helping the Korean team reach the semi-finals of the 2002 World Cup.

In Vietnam, Mr. Park Hang-seo is currently an advisor for Bac Ninh Club, a team playing in the second division. After leaving the Vietnam national team in early 2023, Mr. Park will only serve as an advisor and run an international football academy named after him.
During his 5 years working in Vietnam, Coach Park Hang-seo has achieved great success with the 2018 AFF Cup championship, a ticket to the quarter-finals of the 2019 Asian Cup and the 3rd qualifying round of the 2022 World Cup with the Vietnam team, bringing the U.23 Vietnam team to the final of the 2018 U.23 Asian Cup, winning 2 gold medals at the 2019 and 2022 SEA Games, helping the Vietnam Olympic team reach the semi-finals of the 18th ASIAD.
