Coach Polking: Hanoi Police Football Club's goal is to win the Shopee Cup 2024/2025

“We assess that the match (the second leg of the Shopee Cup 2024/2025 final) will be a fierce competition. Both CAHN and Buriram United are top teams in Southeast Asia. This is a top match. CAHN is honored to participate in this playground. In particular, the companionship and support of the fans will be a great source of motivation for us,” Coach Polking said at a press conference on the afternoon of May 20 in Thailand.

"Hopefully CAHN will play well and achieve the desired results. CAHN has brought the best players here to prepare for this match. Luckily, no one is injured or banned from playing," added coach Polking.

In the first leg of the Shopee Cup 2024/2025 final at Hang Day Stadium on May 14, CAHN and Buriram United drew 2-2. This result put the Vietnamese representative at a slight disadvantage in the second leg.

“It is difficult to predict anything in a top match like this. We will not have many changes in our approach to the match (compared to the first leg). The draw in the first leg puts us at a slight disadvantage. The team's goal is to overcome that challenge to win and bring glory to Vietnamese fans,” coach Polking affirmed.

During CAHN's first training sessions in Thailand, the media unexpectedly discovered the presence of the team's former head coach, Kiatisuk Senamuang. Referring to this issue, Coach Polking said: "The presence of Kiatisuk Senamuang is very useful for CAHN. Zico shared how to quickly adapt to the weather. When the team arrived in Thailand, he also supported the team in terms of facilities."

Also present at the press conference, midfielder Nguyen Quang Hai shared: “We have prepared carefully for tomorrow’s important match. All members are aiming for a good result, with the goal of bringing the Championship Cup to Vietnam.”

"My teammates and I always feel excited when playing in crowded stadiums. For us, that is normal. As professional players, everyone has played in stadiums packed with fans like that. No matter what the circumstances, CAHN always gives their all," Quang Hai said.

The second leg of the Shopee Cup 2024/2025 final between CAHN Club and Buriram United Club will take place at Chang Arena Stadium at 7:30 p.m. on May 21 (Vietnam time).
