The inspection was carried out after a video of a dispute between DJ Ngan 98 and another seller went viral on social media, in which information appeared that the X1000 weight loss product may contain sibutramine - a banned substance that causes loss of appetite and affects cardiovascular health. However, when they came to inspect, the authorities could not find the company at the registered address. Currently, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Food Safety is coordinating with relevant agencies to continue the verification.

In addition to X1000, DJ Ngan 98 also advertised other weight loss products such as Super Detox X3 and X7 Plus on e-commerce platforms and social networks. These products are introduced as being able to help lose weight quickly without dieting or exercising.
Advertising information on the website http://shopngan98.com/ is also inaccessible, many advertising images of weight loss products on DJ Ngan 98's personal page are also not visible.
On the afternoon of May 21, a representative of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Food Safety said that they are urgently reviewing and checking and will soon announce the results to consumers.
