Support people even on weekends

Every week, on Saturday or Sunday, the staff of the Yen Bai Provincial Land Registration Office will support people in resolving administrative procedures related to land right at the locality. Recently, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Ha - Director of the Yen Bai Provincial Land Registration Office and staff implemented the model "Weekend with the people" in Tan Huong commune, Yen Binh district.

Although it was a holiday, 100% of the staff of the Yen Binh District Land Registration Office Branch, the commune's reinforced staff, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, the district-level public administrative service department and the provincial Land Registration Office staff were present at the Tan Huong Commune People's Committee headquarters very early to support people in handling land procedures right in the locality.

Mr. Mai Huynh Duc - Officer of the Yen Binh District Land Registration Office Branch said: During the implementation process, there were many difficulties, but with the attention of district leaders, local authorities and the support of the people, the officers of the District Land Registration Office Branch were very excited and happy to guide people to carry out the procedures during the day and people could get the results on the spot.

In the morning alone, about 70 land-related files were received, mainly to handle procedures for people regarding registration of changes in land use and assets attached to land due to changes in information about the person granted the Certificate; extension of land use rights... Dozens of procedural files were completed during the day and handed over right at the commune People's Committee headquarters. Files that were not completed in time will be sent to households by post . This is unprecedented, according to the people.

People receive land procedure results within the day and right at their place of residence, without having to spend money, time, and effort traveling back and forth many times.

Mr. Kim Xuan Luc - Yen Thang village, Tan Huong commune, Yen Binh district excitedly shared: "Previously, there was no branch of the district land registration office working in the locality, we had to travel back and forth, spending a lot of time. With this way of working, we, the people, are very excited."

Tan Huong is a commune with a population of nearly 60% ethnic minorities, mainly Dao and Cao Lan people, with uneven educational levels. In particular, after implementing the policy of merging villages and residential groups in 2019, the entire commune was reduced from 15 to 11 villages, resulting in a lot of information that needed to be adjusted and corrected in the land documents of households in the administrative boundary merger area.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Ha - Director of Yen Bai Provincial Land Registration Office said: The model "Weekend with the people" of Yen Bai Provincial Land Registration Office has been and is being deployed to promote the implementation of Project 06 in Yen Bai province with the content: Managing information of land users, house owners and other assets attached to land through the National Population Database, VNeID. The pilot model was implemented in Trung Tam commune, Luc Yen district, then continued to be deployed in Van Yen district, Yen Bai city and now Yen Binh district. With the results, in the coming time, the Provincial Land Registration Office will replicate the model in 173/173 communes, wards and towns with the motto: Taking people and businesses as customers and service objects.

With this model, the local government created favorable conditions and people highly supported it. Thanks to that, it helped people save on travel costs, solved the problem of returning results to people within the day, and reduced the overload for the District Public Administration Service Department.

The model of “Weekend with the people” has been widely deployed by all levels, sectors and localities throughout the province with many practical and effective methods. However, the selection of topics according to specific sectors and fields assigned to be in charge and closely linked to the urgent needs in people’s lives as well as the policy of promoting administrative reform and digital transformation has demonstrated the creative and methodical approach of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Yen Bai province.
