Support women to start businesses and solve some social problems

On June 18, the Provincial Women's Union held a conference to review the mid-term evaluation of the Project on propaganda, education, mobilization, and support for women to participate in solving a number of social issues related to women (Project 938) and the Project on supporting women to start businesses in the period 2017-2025 (Project 939).

According to the report at the conference, in recent times, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Women's Union has effectively implemented Project 938 and Project 939 to all levels of the union, in accordance with local conditions. The activities of the projects have attracted a large number of cadres, union members, women and people to participate, contributing to enhancing the role of the union in state management, promoting gender equality, and solving social issues related to women and children.

Within the framework of Project 938, the association has organized 35 seminars, forums, training sessions and 193 communication sessions in the community, focusing on legal advice, skills to prevent abuse, domestic violence, and raising awareness of gender equality. Accordingly, nearly 300,000 households and 6,500 students have access to information on family lifeeducation . The association has also supported the construction and repair of more than 200 Shelters for poor women, and sponsored 575 orphans...

Implementing Project 939, the association at all levels has supported 413 women to start businesses; introduced and provided career advice to 835 women; coordinated with banks to entrust and guarantee loans to help 44,255 women develop their economy ...

At the conference, outstanding groups and individuals reported and shared practical experiences, proposed solutions to improve propaganda effectiveness, support women in solving social issues and promote the start-up movement in the coming time.

On this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 7 collectives and individuals; the Provincial Women's Union awarded certificates of merit to 41 collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing Project 938 and Project 939.
