The Bach Ma peak area ( Hue ) is in its most beautiful season when white rhododendrons bloom, showing off their colors along with many other flowers.
Bach Ma National Park is a pristine destination of stunning beauty. Some people compare this place to a "paradise on earth".
Bach Ma peak often appears with clouds and wind. When the sun sets, the natural scenery appears wonderfully beautiful.
This is the only strip of primeval forest in Vietnam that spans the country from the East Sea to the Vietnam-Laos border. Not only does it have beautiful scenery, a cool climate and French-style villas like in Da Lat, Bach Ma is also home to many rare tropical animals and plants.
Bach Ma Mountain has a total area of 37,487 hectares. Coming here, visitors can learn about the rich flora and fauna, admire the majestic scenery of the mountains and forests, and experience the weather of four seasons in one day.
According to many people's experience of traveling to Hue, from March to December is considered the most suitable time to travel to Bach Ma National Park. At this time, the weather is dry, there are no heavy rains, suitable for traveling.
In early March, white rhododendrons bloom all over the mountain tops in the middle of the old forest. This is a small tree, 3-8m high, growing well at an altitude of over 1,000m above sea level. To see this flower up close, visitors must trek through the forest, passing abandoned villas in the middle of the forest for decades.
In the villa garden area, azaleas have appeared for decades. The surrounding space is vast and immense, the trees are green and full of life... Visitors coming here have the feeling of being immersed in nature, freely enjoying the quintessence of heaven and earth.
In Bach Ma, there is also the Sau Sau tree - a tree with three pointed lobes. In March, the leaves gradually turn red, creating a beautiful landscape for the national park. Many people call it Bach Ma maple because it resembles a maple leaf (a maple leaf has five lobes).
Thanks to the cool air all year round, Bach Ma peak has many maple trees that grow very well. Most of the maple trees grow near the top of the mountain, where the humidity is high. In the grounds of the ancient French villas in Bach Ma, there are naturally growing maple trees, about 100 years old.
In spring, the maple leaves in the forest turn red, from around January to February, unlike in many other places, which usually happens in the fall.
Standing out on the summit is the Vong Hai Dai, which is over 1,400m above sea level. The area halfway up the mountain was once planned by the French as a summer resort with about 139 villas. Today, Bach Ma National Park is an ideal destination for many tourists who love to explore nature.
