Concert with two talented pianists Nguyen Viet Trung and Ngo Phuong Vi

The concert program "Eternal Sound" was organized by the Organizing Committee for the establishment of the Vietnam Classical Music Association on the evening of July 9, at the Hanoi Opera House, with the participation of two young pianists Nguyen Viet Trung and Ngo Phuong Vi.

Both artists Nguyen Viet Trung and Ngo Phuong Vi studied at top music universities in Europe and the United States, have won prestigious awards, and participated in large-scale performances domestically and internationally.

Artist Nguyen Viet Trung was born in 1996, studied piano in Poland since the age of 7 and is currently studying at the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz (Poland). He has won many awards at prestigious competitions, such as: First Prize at the 17th National Piano Festival "Chopin's Interpretations of the Young" in Konin-Zychlin (Poland, 2021), Grand Prix at the International Chamber Music Competition in Vietnam (2019) and entered the 2nd round of the 18th International Fryderyk Chopin Competition in Warsaw (Poland, 2021).

Artist Nguyen Viet Trung has collaborated with the Vietnam Symphony Orchestra, Hanoi Symphony Orchestra, Polish Radio Orchestra, National Symphony Orchestra, Polish Wieniawski Orchestra and performed in many countries around the world .

Pianist Ngo Phuong Vi.

Artist Ngo Phuong Vi was born in 1998, studied piano since the age of 3 and is studying for a Master's degree in piano performance at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna (Austria).

Phuong Vi has won many international music awards: 3rd prize at the 1st Hanoi International Piano Competition (2010); Special prize and 2 Gold medals at the Piano Competition and Asian Music Festival in Korea; 2nd prize at the 16th San Jose International Piano Competition in San Jose (USA, 2015); 1st prize, best classical player of group B and the award for best Vietnamese contestant presented by People's Artist Dang Thai Son at the 3rd Hanoi International Piano Competition...

Returning to Hanoi this time, the two artists will perform with the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of conductor Le Phi Phi. The artists will bring famous works by composers Mozart, Schubert, Mendelssohn, and Debussy.

The concert program “Eternal Sound” marks the launch of the Steering Committee for the establishment of the Vietnam Classical Music Association with the mission of creating more opportunities for young talents in the country to shine, strongly spreading the love of classical music to the public…
