Timeless Resonance Concert - Endless Sound Comes to Vietnam

As part of the world tour of Professor, People's Artist Dang Thai Son lasting until 2025, the concert "Timeless Resonance - Endless Sound" will have 2 performances in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City on June 2 and 3, 2024.

The annual concert series will be held starting from June 2024. Called “Timeless Resonance”, the concert is a stage to introduce talented classical musicians from Vietnam and the world. The program will give the audience the opportunity to explore and immerse themselves in the beauty of classical music through the masterpieces of genius composers.

According to the Organizing Committee, the concert program “Timeless Resonance - Endless Sound” opens with Chapter I: “Dang Thai Son and his students”. For the first time, the audience has the opportunity to enjoy the quintessential sounds of classical music from the skillful fingers on the piano keys of People's Artist Dang Thai Son and his excellent international students who have won many prestigious awards around the world.

Among them, Sophia Shuya Liu won the First Prize at the 18th Ettlingen International Piano Competition, Class A, in Germany, and the First Prize at the Thomas & Evon Cooper International Competition in 2023. Kai-Min Chang was a quarter-finalist at the 18th Chopin Competition in 2021.

Zitong Wang is currently pursuing her master's degree at the prestigious New England Conservatory of Music, where Dang Thai Son teaches. She won first prize and the Best Performance award for a piece by F. Chopin at the 2022 XXXIII Ferrol International Piano Competition.

The concert "Dang Thai Son and his students" brings together generations of artists. With the participation of Professor, People's Artist Dang Thai Son and his students, the program affirms the sustainable connection of culture, education and art between generations, between heritage and inheritance.

Professor and People's Artist Dang Thai Son first became known in 1980 when he became the first Asian to win first prize at the 10th Chopin International Piano Competition in Warsaw, Poland. Before that, no one had won as many awards as he had at this prestigious award.

He was invited to perform at over 40 famous concert halls around the world and collaborated with famous orchestras such as St-Petersburg Philharmonic, Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Russian National Orchestra, Royal Swedish Chamber Orchestra...
