Speaking at the opening of the Conference, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said that Project 06 was identified as a key and important task and one of the "bright spots" and "good models" of national digital transformation.
In recent times, the Government and the Prime Minister have resolutely directed and synchronously deployed solutions to increasingly effectively and practically implement the national digital transformation; promote digital transformation in most areas; focus on building and perfecting institutions, mechanisms and policies to promote the development of digital government, digital economy , digital society and digital citizens.
At the same time, Project 06 was vigorously implemented from the central to grassroots levels, receiving the consensus, support and high appreciation from people and businesses; contributing to changing management methods and improving the quality and efficiency of citizen management; saving time and effort; creating an important foundation for deploying online public services.
According to the report of the Ministry of Information and Communications , digital transformation has achieved many outstanding results. The rate of online records in the entire process out of the total number of administrative procedure records nationwide reached 42% (17% by the end of 2023); of ministries and branches reached 61% (38% by the end of 2023); of localities reached 17% (9% by the end of 2023).
The digital economy is estimated to grow by 22.4% and the proportion of the digital economy in GDP is estimated at 18.3%. Revenue from the information technology sector is expected to grow by 26% over the same period in 2023.
In Da Nang, on April 15, 2024, the City People's Committee issued Plan No. 93/KH-UBND to deploy the city's digital transformation tasks in 2024 with the theme "Unlocking digital data, promoting digital economic growth and ensuring digital social security".
By July 2024, 97% of administrative procedures will be deployed as full-process online public services; the rate of online application submission will be 90%; of which the rate of full-process online application submission will reach 66%, an increase of 46% compared to the end of 2023 (nearly 4 times the national average of 17%)
The city has introduced 15 groups of digital data to serve daily direction and management; with 150 statistical and comparison services; 50 analysis and early warning services.

According to the assessment of the Ministry of Information and Communications, in 2023, Da Nang city's digital economy will account for 20.69% of the city's GRDP (exceeding the 2025 target of 20%).
Currently, 99% of households have smartphones; nearly 50% of adults have digital citizen accounts; each student has an ID code and an electronic transcript; each citizen has a medical ID code and a personal health record, etc.
Highlights in the first 6 months of 2024: Da Nang established and put into operation the Center for Research and Training in Microchip Design and Artificial Intelligence to approach and immediately implement the country's policy of participating in the global microchip and semiconductor chain.

Speaking at the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh acknowledged the efforts of ministries, branches and localities in implementing digital transformation and Project 06 to achieve positive results, which were highly appreciated by people and businesses.
However, there are still limitations and shortcomings that need to be overcome and resolved. Therefore, in the coming time, ministries, branches and localities need to continue to learn from experience in implementing the proposed contents and plans; raise awareness of the role and position of digital transformation, build a shared database; and put people and businesses at the center of national digital transformation activities.
At the same time, focus on building databases of ministries, branches and localities and sharing data among ministries, branches and localities; promote the development and completion of institutions, mechanisms and policies on digital transformation; continue to develop the national data system and digital infrastructure.
Along with that, ministries, branches and localities strengthen national cybersecurity and safety; mobilize the participation of businesses in digital transformation.
