Trade and service activities maintain growth

(CT) - According to Can Tho City Statistics, since the beginning of the year, the supply of goods in the city has been abundant, well meeting the consumption needs of the people. Promotional programs and shopping stimulus programs have been widely implemented, contributing to maintaining the stable growth momentum of the domestic market. Total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue in October 2025 is estimated at 30,560 billion VND, an increase of more than 3.07% over the previous month and an increase of 16.43% over the same period in 2024.

In the first 10 months of 2025, the total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue is estimated at VND 289,800 billion, up 17.62% over the same period in 2024. Specifically, retail sales of goods are estimated at VND 196,030 billion, up 17.94% over the same period last year; accommodation and food revenue is estimated at VND 46,490 billion, up 18.22% over the same period last year; other service revenue is estimated at VND 46,640 billion, up 16.13% over the same period in 2024. Tourism revenue alone is estimated at VND 640 billion, down 6.81% over the same period last year. The main reason is that unfavorable weather and prolonged storms have affected sightseeing activities, along with the fact that the number of international visitors has not recovered as strongly as expected.
