Compared to many autonomous public schools, tuition fees at some private schools are comparable, and even lower in some majors.
In 2024, private universities in Hanoi will mainly consider admission based on two methods: academic records and high school graduation exam scores.
Some schools also consider the results of competency assessment exams. VinUni has a similar admissions process to American universities when considering academic achievements, extracurricular activities and interviews, while RMIT or BUV require candidates to have a certain level of English proficiency.
The country currently has 240 higher education institutions, of which more than 60 are private schools.
