The resolution stipulates that the minimum reward for 7 groups of students winning prizes in the exams is 10 million VND/student and the maximum is 300 million VND/student. The reward levels are 2-15 times higher than in previous years, divided by field (cultural and scientific subjects), exam level and award type.
Specifically, students who win first prize (gold medal) in the international cultural Olympiads will be awarded 300 million VND. Silver, bronze and consolation prizes will receive 200, 150 and 100 million VND respectively.
The rewards for students who win regional and international science and technology awards are the same, from 50 to 200 million VND. At the national and city levels, the rewards range from 10 to 50 million VND, with the city level only awarding first prize. If the student who wins the award is disabled or an ethnic minority, the reward increases by 1.5 to 2 times.

Previously, the Hanoi People's Committee proposed the highest reward for international gold medals at 250 million VND, and for regional gold medals at 150 million VND. With the approved decision, the reward increased to 50 million VND compared to the original.
