Naval Academy closes training course on maritime search and rescue

On August 15, the Naval Academy held the closing ceremony of the 60th maritime search and rescue training course.

The Naval Academy awarded certificates of completion of training to cadets.

The training class has 26 trainees who are officers and employees of rescue centers of ministries, branches, Navy, Coast Guard, Border Guard, Vietnam Maritime Administration, Military Commands of provinces and cities nationwide. During the 30-day period, the trainees were thoroughly informed of the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, and legal documents of the industry related to natural disaster prevention and search and rescue; equipped with basic knowledge of search and rescue operations at sea; trained in the use of life-saving equipment, first aid, and moving victims; postures and methods for using fire-fighting and anti-sinking equipment when a ship is in distress...

As a result of the training course, 100% of the trainees met the requirements and were awarded a graduation certificate. With the knowledge they have acquired, the trainees will be the core force in search and rescue work of units and localities, responding to natural disasters, ensuring the safety of people and property, contributing to minimizing damage caused by natural disasters.
