(LĐ online) - On the morning of November 17, the Army Academy held a meeting to celebrate the 41st anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day (November 20, 1982 - November 20, 2023).

Attending the event were comrades in the Party Committee, Board of Directors; leaders and officers of the Academy through the periods and officers, lecturers, staff, students and soldiers of the Academy.

At the meeting, Major General Do Minh Xuong - Director of the Army Academy gave a speech reviewing the tradition of studiousness, "respect for teachers, respect for morality" of the Vietnamese people. The Major General emphasized Ho Chi Minh's thoughts on education , training and the position and role of teachers; the viewpoints and policies of our Party and State always consistently affirm that education and training are the "top national policy", the "key driving force for national development". At the same time, he highlighted the history and significance of Vietnamese Teachers' Day, the role of teachers in the cause of education, training, building and defending the Fatherland. On behalf of the Party Committee and the Board of Directors of the Academy, he sent best wishes to generations of cadres and lecturers, those who have decided the quality and effectiveness of education, training and scientific research of the Academy over the past 77 years.

Currently, all lecturers of the Academy have university degrees or higher; of which, 70% have postgraduate degrees; 18 associate professors, 91 doctors, 248 masters, 6 level I specialists, 20 lecturers recognized as excellent lecturers at the Ministry of National Defense level. The Academy has trained thousands of command - staff officers, military teachers, masters, doctors for the armies of Laos and Cambodia. Many students after graduating from the school have developed into generals, senior officers, holding important positions in the Party, State and army.

On this occasion, the Army Academy presented flowers to express gratitude to generations of leaders, officers and lecturers of the Academy - those who have determined the quality and effectiveness of education, training and scientific research of the Academy over the past 77 years.
