Processing and manufacturing industry continues to grow strongly

By the end of August 2025, Quang Ninh's processing and manufacturing industry continued to grow strongly with an increase of more than 32% over the same period in 2024. Notably, 10/14 products achieved and exceeded the 9-month plan of the year, with more than 1,000 cars manufactured from Thanh Cong Viet Hung Automobile Factory being put on the market... As a driving force, the processing and manufacturing industry continues to maintain its key role in economic growth.

In line with the year's theme of "Breakthrough in economic development, creating momentum for a new term," Quang Ninh province has set a growth target of 14% for 2025. To achieve this result, from the beginning of the year, the province has issued resolutions, developed plans, and set targets for socio-economic development. Based on a thorough assessment of each resource and growth factor, Quang Ninh has clearly identified its central task as focusing on renewing traditional growth drivers and promoting new ones.

While new drivers of growth are still being implemented under the "four pillar resolutions," Quang Ninh has focused on renewing traditional drivers. Accordingly, it continues to innovate in thinking and approach, and make breakthroughs in policies to promote investment attraction in processing and manufacturing industries by strengthening decentralization and delegation of power, emphasizing the role and responsibility of leaders; repositioning local values, fully identifying advantages, challenges, conflicts, and bottlenecks to find solutions.

The province has issued plans and action programs, and organized working sessions with each industrial park infrastructure investor to review and assess their capacity to meet requirements; and to determine and allocate investment attraction targets for each month and quarter. Simultaneously, it continues to clearly demonstrate its perspective and approach in improving the effectiveness of the closed-loop investment promotion model, from supporting investment procedures to post-investment support. It coordinates with industrial park infrastructure investors and local authorities to review land resources, accelerate land clearance, prepare the labor market, and implement many specific measures to meet essential conditions for industrial parks and manufacturing plants, especially FDI enterprises.

The housing complex for workers at the Hai Ha Seaport Industrial Park was officially started in August 2025.

At the same time, the province continues to prioritize resources to accelerate the construction of comprehensive social infrastructure projects (housing, institutions, public utility facilities for workers), technical infrastructure (electricity supply, water supply, telecommunications, wastewater treatment, waste disposal, etc.), and transportation infrastructure connecting within and outside industrial parks, to ensure that the needs of secondary investors are met. During the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution, the province commenced many important key projects. These included projects to develop industrial parks, clusters, and housing for workers with a total value of thousands of billions of VND, such as the Yen Than, Dam Ha B, and Dong Mai industrial clusters; housing for workers in the Hai Ha Seaport Industrial Park; and roads connecting the Cam Thinh industrial cluster with the planned Con Ong and Hon Net port areas…

With proactive support for businesses, investment, and production, and enhanced solutions to promote business development, by the end of August 2025, the province's manufacturing industry production index increased by 32.09% compared to the same period in 2024. Ten out of fourteen key products met or exceeded their nine-month targets, focusing on knitted fabrics, televisions, speakers, headphones, solar panels, and various types of vehicles. Notably, the Thanh Cong Viet Hung Automobile Factory, inaugurated in March 2025, produced its first products at the end of June. To date, after two months, the factory has supplied over 1,000 Skoda Kushaq vehicles to the market. This is a new product with high economic value; therefore, to stimulate consumer demand, the manufacturer has implemented many attractive incentive policies, making a significant contribution to the province's growth.

With the participation of over 1,000 businesses in the processing and manufacturing industry, coupled with proactive, innovative, and timely implementation of effective policies, Quang Ninh has quickly exploited this important economic sector, which is one of the three main pillars of the province's industrial base. To achieve the economic growth target for the third quarter, the province continues to promote solutions to ensure that the remaining 4 out of 10 products in the processing and manufacturing industry meet and exceed the set plan, so that the processing and manufacturing industry can compensate for other sectors and fields of the province that are still facing difficulties.
