Processing and manufacturing industry continues to grow strongly

By the end of August 2025, Quang Ninh's processing and manufacturing industry continued to grow strongly with an increase of more than 32% over the same period in 2024. Notably, 10/14 products achieved and exceeded the 9-month plan of the year, with more than 1,000 cars manufactured from Thanh Cong Viet Hung Automobile Factory being put on the market... As a driving force, the processing and manufacturing industry continues to maintain its key role in economic growth.

Implementing the annual working theme of "Breakthrough in economic development, creating momentum for the new term", Quang Ninh set a growth target of 14% for 2025. To achieve this result, from the beginning of the year, the province issued resolutions, developed plans, and set targets for socio-economic development. Based on fundamental calculations of each resource and each growth factor, Quang Ninh clearly identified the key task of focusing on renewing traditional growth drivers and promoting new growth drivers.

In the context of the new driving forces being deployed according to the "four pillar resolutions" that are still in the process of being initiated, Quang Ninh has focused on renewing traditional driving forces. Accordingly, it continues to innovate thinking, be creative in its approach, and make breakthroughs in policies to promote investment attraction in the processing and manufacturing industries by promoting decentralization, decentralization, and promoting the role and responsibility of leaders; repositioning local values, fully identifying advantages, challenges, conflicts, and bottlenecks to find ways to resolve them.

The province has issued plans and action programs, organized work with each industrial park infrastructure investor to review and evaluate the ability to meet; determine and allocate investment attraction targets for each month and quarter. At the same time, continue to clearly demonstrate viewpoints and approaches in improving the effectiveness of the closed-cycle investment promotion model from supporting the implementation of investment procedures to post-investment support. Coordinate with industrial park infrastructure investors and localities to review land funds, speed up site clearance progress, prepare the labor market and many specific measures to meet essential conditions for industrial parks, factories, especially FDI enterprises.

At the same time, the province continues to prioritize resources to accelerate the synchronous construction of social infrastructure works (housing, institutions, public utility works for workers), technical infrastructure (electricity supply, water supply, telecommunications, wastewater treatment, waste ...), traffic infrastructure connecting inside and outside the industrial parks, to ensure meeting the needs of secondary investors. On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution, the province has started many important key projects. These include projects to develop industrial parks, industrial clusters, housing for workers with a total value of thousands of billions of VND such as Yen Than, Dam Ha B, Dong Mai industrial parks; housing for workers in Hai Ha Seaport Industrial Park; roads connecting Cam Thinh Industrial Park with the planning area of ​​Con Ong and Hon Net ports ...

With the proactive accompaniment of businesses, support for investment, production, and strengthening solutions to promote business development, by the end of August 2025, the production index of the province's processing and manufacturing industry increased by 32.09% over the same period in 2024. 10/14 basic products achieved and exceeded the 9-month plan, focusing on knitted fabric products, televisions, speakers, headphones, solar panels, vehicles of all kinds... Notably, Thanh Cong Viet Hung Automobile Factory was inaugurated in March 2025 and launched its first product at the end of June. Up to now, after 2 months, the factory has supplied the market with over 1,000 cars under the Skoda Kushaq brand. This is one of the new products with high economic value, so to stimulate consumer demand, the car company has applied many attractive incentive policies, making an important contribution to the growth of the province.

With the participation of more than 1,000 enterprises in the processing and manufacturing industry, along with proactiveness, creativity, and timely intervention with effective policies, Quang Ninh has soon exploited this important economic sector, which is one of the three main pillars of the province's industry. To achieve the economic growth target of the third quarter, the province continues to promote solutions so that the remaining 4/10 products of the processing and manufacturing industry can reach and exceed the set plan, so that the processing and manufacturing industry can compensate for other industries and sectors of the province that are still facing difficulties.
