
The Vietnam Coal and Mineral College was established in 2014 by a decision of the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs , based on the merger of Hong Cam Mining Vocational College, Huu Nghi Mining Vocational College, and Viet Bac Industrial College. Over the years, the college has strived to successfully fulfill the tasks assigned by the Group, training high-quality human resources for the coal and mineral industry in Quang Ninh and other provinces in the northern region; especially training miners with increasingly improved skills, professional knowledge, and industrial work ethic.
During the 2020-2025 period, the school successfully implemented a financial autonomy mechanism, continuously investing in modern and well-equipped facilities at its branches, creating a professional learning and working environment for students, and improving the quality of life for employees. The school expanded its training scale to 113 majors to meet the needs of the labor market. 100% of the school's graduates in mining, automotive technology, welding, and mechanical engineering find employment immediately after graduation; over 95% of graduates in other majors find employment within three months of graduation...

At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee announced Decision No. 2361/QD-CTN, dated December 9, 2025, of the President of Vietnam awarding the Third-Class Labor Medal to the Vietnam Coal and Mineral College for its outstanding achievements in its work, contributing to the cause of building socialism and defending the Fatherland. This is a prestigious award from the State, recognizing the efforts and important contributions of generations of teachers and students of the school.
Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hanh acknowledged, praised, and congratulated the Vietnam Coal and Mineral College on its proud achievements. She requested that in the coming time, the college continue to improve the quality and scale of training; innovate and enhance the efficiency of management; pay more attention to and better care for the lives of its staff, civil servants, and employees; and strengthen ties with localities, closely coordinating with departments and agencies in student recruitment and job placement, especially in effectively implementing social welfare programs for people in remote areas and border regions.

On the same day, the Vietnam Coal and Mineral College held a conference to summarize its training and business activities in 2025 and a conference for employees in 2026. The conference included: hearing reports on the results of tasks in 2025; discussing directions, tasks, and goals and targets for 2026; hearing reports on the activities of the People's Inspection Committee in 2025 and electing the People's Inspection Committee for the 2026-2027 term; electing delegates to the Group-level Employee Conference; and launching emulation campaigns for 2026...
