In his opening speech, Lieutenant General Le Quoc Hung highly appreciated and commended the efforts, endeavors and achievements of the Lawyers Association of the Ministry of Public Security in the past time; at the same time, he sincerely thanked the Central Committee of the Vietnam Lawyers Association, Lawyers Associations of ministries, departments and branches for accompanying, closely coordinating and supporting the Lawyers Association of the Ministry of Public Security in organizing and implementing the Association's activities.
He requested that the Associations under the Ministry of Public Security Lawyers Association focus their intelligence and promote democracy in assessing the advantages and disadvantages of the organization and activities of the Association in general and the Association in particular; at the same time, contribute practical ideas to improve the quality and effectiveness of the work of the Ministry of Public Security Lawyers Association, especially in advising the Ministry's leaders to perfect the institutions, build and perfect the legal system on security and order, meeting the requirements and tasks in the new situation.

Speaking at the meeting, Ms. Le Thi Kim Thanh, Vice President of the Vietnam Lawyers Association, acknowledged that in recent times, the Ministry of Public Security Lawyers Association has had many activities, contributing to the overall development of the Vietnam Lawyers Association, from activities of disseminating and educating the law, participating in and advising on the drafting of legal documents, administrative reform, and judicial reform.

In his concluding remarks, Lieutenant General Le Quoc Hung, Deputy Minister of Public Security, requested the Ministry of Public Security Lawyers Association to continue promoting the glorious tradition of generations of lawyers, correctly identifying the direction, goals, principles and objectives of the Association, striving together for the goal of "rich people, strong country, democracy, fairness and civilization", contributing more and more to the cause of protecting national security, ensuring social order and safety, fighting against crime, and building a socialist rule-of-law state of Vietnam in the new situation.
In which focus on some key solution tasks:
Firstly, in order for the associations at all levels under the Ministry of Public Security Lawyers Association to have the conditions to develop strongly, improve the quality of all aspects of association activities, and meet the requirements of tasks in the new development stage of the country, the organization and activities of the associations at all levels must be placed entirely under the leadership of the Central Public Security Party Committee, the Party Delegation, the Central Standing Committee of the Vietnam Lawyers Association and the direction and regular facilitation of the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security and unit leaders.
Second, Party committees and unit leaders need to promptly direct, orient and implement the linkage of the activities of the Association and its organizations with the professional work of the unit; seriously grasp and effectively implement the guiding documents, notably: Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress; Resolution No. 27 of the Central Executive Committee on continuing to build and perfect the socialist rule-of-law state of Vietnam in the new period;
Resolution No. 12 of the Politburo on promoting the building of a truly clean, strong, disciplined, elite, and modern People's Public Security force to meet the requirements and tasks in the new situation; Conclusion No. 19 of the Politburo on the orientation of the law-making program for the 15th National Assembly; Directive No. 14 of the Politburo on continuing to strengthen the Party's leadership over the Vietnam Lawyers Association in the new situation.
Third, pay attention to directing and promoting the effectiveness of coordination between the Ministry of Public Security Lawyers Association and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Lawyers Association, and branches of ministries, departments and branches at the Central level in implementing activities and developing the Association in the spirit of Directive No. 14 of the Politburo...
Fourth, focus on raising awareness of the nature, functions, tasks and social responsibilities of the Vietnam Lawyers Association to each member of the association at all levels. Accordingly, the association at all levels shall develop specific and practical programs and action plans with methods of organization and operation appropriate to the nature, characteristics, functions and tasks of the association, avoiding formalism and administrative tendencies. The programs and work plans of the association must be linked to the implementation of the political tasks of the sector and unit.
Fifth, regularly consolidate and improve the organizational and operational capacity of all levels of the association, focusing on perfecting and promoting the role of the organization, apparatus and staff of the association, towards successfully organizing the Congress of the Ministry of Public Security Lawyers Association, term 2024-2029 .
