12th Conference of the Provincial Women's Union Executive Committee, term XVII

BHG - On the afternoon of June 5, the Provincial Women's Union (PPU) held the 12th Executive Committee Conference, term XVII, to review the activities of the Union and women's movement in the first 6 months of the year; deploy directions and tasks for the last 6 months of 2025. Attending were representatives of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Education Commission; socio-political organizations; leaders of a number of provincial departments and branches.

The Provincial Women's Union currently has a total of 180,625 members and 889 honorary members. In the past 6 months, the Provincial Women's Union has closely followed the programs and plans of the Central Union and the political tasks of the province to direct and guide the Women's Unions at all levels to organize, implement and comprehensively implement all aspects of work and exceed the set targets. In particular, the Provincial Women's Union   issued a plan to implement the tasks of the Association in 2025 with the theme: "Promoting the role of women in participating in building a clean and strong Party and political system, ready to enter a new era, an era of national growth". Along with that, 100% of the Association's grassroots units concretize and implement   emulation movement "Building Ha Giang women in the new era, actively studying, dynamic, creative, preserving and promoting national cultural identity".

Leaders of the Provincial Women's Union awarded Certificates of Merit to individuals with achievements in implementing the patriotic emulation movement for the period 2020 - 2025.

Since the beginning of the year, the Association's bases have carried out 156 practical works and tasks contributing to the construction of new rural areas and civilized urban areas; mobilized 90 households to implement the "5 no, 3 clean" family criteria; supported 54 households to renovate mixed gardens. At the same time, more than 2,720 propaganda sessions were held with 186,000 people receiving information; established and expanded 77 models and clubs on eliminating backward customs, practices, and building a civilized lifestyle; coordinated and successfully postponed the marriage of 149 underage couples. In addition, supported and donated 300 million VND to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for 5 poor households. The Association at all levels sponsored 398 orphans and children in especially difficult circumstances; connected and mobilized units, organizations, and individuals to accompany and provide livelihoods for female members to strive to reduce poverty and develop a sustainable economy .

At the conference, delegates focused on discussing and proposing key directions and tasks for the last 6 months of the year. In particular, the Association at all levels focused on propaganda, education, and emulation to welcome the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term; continued to effectively implement Resolution 18-NQ/TW of the 12th Party Central Committee, participated in arranging the organization and staff of the Association after merging administrative units. Strengthened supervision, social criticism, and contributed comments to Party Congress documents and draft laws related to women. Building a strong Association organization, improving the quality of the staff; advising on female cadre work, preparing for Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term and the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term. In addition, strengthening foreign affairs, mobilizing resources to innovate the Association's operating methods in the current period.

At the conference, the Provincial Women's Union awarded Certificates of Merit to 40 collectives and 58 individuals with achievements in implementing the patriotic emulation movement for the period 2020 - 2025; commended 8 collectives and 30 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the campaign "Building a family of 5 no, 3 clean"; rewarded 6 collectives and 16 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the Project to support women in starting a business for the period 2017 - 2025; and expressed gratitude to the Executive Committee members of the Provincial Women's Union, term XVII, term 2021 - 2026.
