(MPI) - On November 14, 2024, in Hanoi , the Government Electronic Information Portal held a Conference on Connecting the Government's direction and administration information on the network environment with the Electronic Information Portals of Ministries, branches and localities in 2024 to effectively implement Decree No. 42/2022/ND-CP dated June 24, 2022 of the Government regulating the provision of information by state agencies on the network environment.

Attending the Conference were Minister, Head of the Government Office Tran Van Son, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Bui Hoang Phuong and representatives of leaders of ministries, branches, localities and leaders of the Electronic Information Portals of ministries, branches and localities.
According to the report on the operation of the Electronic Information Portals of Ministries, branches, localities and the Government's Electronic Information Portal, the survey results of 89 Electronic Information Portals of Ministries, branches, localities, most of the Electronic Information Portals of Ministries, branches, localities have provided full information according to the provisions of Decree No. 42/2022/ND-CP. Specifically, the number of Ministries and ministerial-level agencies providing full information is: 14/18 units; the number of agencies under the Government is: 6/8; the number of provinces and centrally run cities is: 57/63.
Currently, there are 4 Ministries, ministerial-level agencies, 1 Government agency and 31 provinces and centrally run cities that have built Ministry-level and provincial-level data portals. The total number of component electronic information pages/portals of Ministries, branches and localities is 5,635. There are 57 provinces and centrally run cities that have deployed the electronic information portal to the district level (of which 29 provinces and centrally run cities have deployed it to the ward level). There are 43 electronic information portals of Ministries, branches and localities that have been fully connected and integrated with component electronic information pages/portals.
However, ministries, branches and localities still face difficulties and obstacles when implementing Decree No. 42/2022/ND-CP, such as human resources, information technology infrastructure; Data in databases (DBs), information systems (IS) of sectors and fields are still fragmented and scattered...; There are no instructions on implementing the connection and integration of information and data between the Government Portal and the Portals of ministries, branches and localities.
Speaking at the Conference, Minister and Head of the Government Office Tran Van Son said that in order to promptly communicate policies to people and businesses, as well as to serve the direction not only of the Government and the Prime Minister but also of ministries, branches and localities, ministries, branches and localities must pay attention to and have investment plans to upgrade and synchronize information systems, and at the same time invest in human resources.
Minister and Head of the Government Office Tran Van Son also requested that the e-portals of ministries, branches and localities coordinate with the Government e-portal, not only to promptly communicate policies and effectively implement Decree 42/2022/ND-CP, but also to promptly handle recommendations and feedback from people and businesses.
The conference listened to presentations on some experiences in managing, operating and developing the e-portals of some ministries and branches as well as in managing the provision of information of the provincial and local e-portals with the component e-portals. This is also an opportunity for ministries, branches and localities to discuss existing problems and limitations and propose practical solutions to make policy communication work more practical and effective in the coming time./.
