Conference on dissemination and training of Law on Geology and Minerals

On August 15, in Bac Nha Trang ward, the Department of Agriculture and Environment (DARD) in coordination with the Department of Geology and Minerals of Vietnam (Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development) organized a conference to disseminate and train on the Law on Geology and Minerals 2024 and legal documents guiding the implementation of the Law. The conference was attended by more than 200 delegates from departments, branches, and sectors; People's Committees of communes and wards; organizations and enterprises operating in the field of geology and minerals in the province.

At the conference, delegates listened to the reporter of the Vietnam Geology and Minerals Department disseminate the following contents: Decree No. 193, dated July 2, 2025 of the Government detailing a number of articles and measures to implement the Law on Geology and Minerals; Circular No. 36, dated July 2, 2025 of the Minister of Agriculture and Environment regulating mineral exploitation, mineral recovery and mineral recovery; Circular No. 38, dated July 2, 2025 of the Minister of Agriculture and Environment regulating the method of determination, approval, sample documents in the dossier of determination, approval for costs of mineral potential assessment, mineral exploration that must be reimbursed and sample documents in the dossier of determination, approval, settlement of fees for granting mineral exploitation rights, sample documents in the auction of mineral exploitation rights; Circular No. 39 dated July 2, 2025 of the Minister of Agriculture and Environment stipulates the content of the project, plan and sample documents in the mineral mine closure dossier.

In addition, delegates also participated in the dialogue and reporters from the Department of Geology and Minerals of Vietnam directly answered questions in the field of geology and minerals in Khanh Hoa province.

Speaking at the conference, the leader of the Department of Agriculture and Environment emphasized that the Law on Geology and Minerals 2024, which will take effect from July 1, 2025, is not only a legal document but also a strategic tool for Khanh Hoa province to shape the future of the mineral industry with the goal of rationally exploiting resources, protecting the environment, promoting socio-economic growth, and contributing to making Khanh Hoa province a centrally-run city by 2030. After this conference, the Department of Agriculture and Environment requested that all levels, sectors, localities, and enterprises in the province continue to conduct further research and develop specific and synchronous action plans to effectively implement the Law on Geology and Minerals.
