(CLO) On January 10, the Dak Lak Provincial Journalists Association held a conference to review work in 2024 and deploy directions and tasks for 2025.
According to the report at the conference, the Provincial Journalists Association has 8 branches, including 6 affiliated branches and 2 branches of journalists of central press agencies and offices operating in the province with a total of 201 members.

In 2024, the Provincial Journalists Association has successfully completed its functions and tasks, thoroughly grasped, guided, and implemented the Association's programs and work plans to its branches and members. The Provincial Journalists Association directed its branches to continue to disseminate and thoroughly grasp Directive 43/CT-TW dated April 8, 2020 of the Party Central Committee Secretariat on "Strengthening the Party's leadership over the activities of the Vietnam Journalists Association in the new situation", in conjunction with strictly implementing the Press Law, the Charter of the Vietnam Journalists Association, 11th term, and 10 regulations on professional ethics of Vietnamese journalists.
The Association coordinates with the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department and the Department of Information and Communications to organize periodic press meetings to help press agencies promptly propose opinions and recommendations to local government leaders in leading, directing, operating, and handling issues discovered and reported by the press.
In addition, the Association focuses on and pays attention to professional training for members, coordinates the organization of 3 professional training courses; focuses on improving the quality of the special issue Journalists and Life; selects excellent press works of branches to participate in press awards and win many high prizes, including a work of Dak Lak Newspaper Branch that won the Encouragement Prize of the National Press Award.
In 2025, to improve the quality of press activities in the province, the Provincial Journalists Association will continue to focus on directing, operating, building a strong Association organization, developing members; coordinate, organize training, improve professional qualifications, meet the needs of members; especially promote propaganda to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day.
On this occasion, the Provincial Journalists Association awarded certificates of merit to 2 collectives and 5 individuals who have excellently completed their professional work and Association activities in 2024.
