After the heavy rains of the “double disaster”, Tuy Phuoc Dong commune and Hai Minh fishing village have not yet recovered. Mud marks are still visible in front of the porches, the smell of floodwater permeates every wall, and the sighs of people in coastal and lowland areas continue to echo with worry.

Ms. Dong Thi Anh - President of Gia Lai Province Women Entrepreneurs Association, presented gifts to people of Tuy Phuoc Dong commune.
Amidst those difficult days, the sharing journey of the Gia Lai Province Women Entrepreneurs Association continued regularly, gently and warmly, like the way volunteers always choose to stand by the community when disaster strikes.
In Tuy Phuoc Dong commune, the delegation presented 150 gifts, each worth 1.2 million VND, including cash, rice, instant noodles, blankets, clothes and other essential goods. 180 million VND was delivered to households early in the morning, when people were still busy cleaning up what was left after the historic flood.

Gia Lai Province Women Entrepreneurs Association will continue to extend the chain of support for people after the "double disaster".
The tight handshakes and sincere greetings moved many people. An old man tearfully recounted that he had never witnessed such a rapid and fierce flood and had never felt such a heartwarming and timely sharing from organizations and individuals.
Leaving the flood-prone Tuy Phuoc Dong area, the group continued to Hai Minh fishing village – where the recent “double disaster” has left many fishermen with many losses. Boats were damaged, houses collapsed, livelihoods were temporarily suspended… causing many families to fall into difficult situations at the beginning of the new fishing season.

Gia Lai businesswomen join hands to transfer gifts to ships to go out to sea to the people of Hai Minh fishing village.
Here, the delegation presented 100 gifts, including 50 gifts worth 1.2 million VND and 50 gifts worth 800,000 VND to the people of Hai Minh fishing village; the total value of the gifts was 100 million VND.
The gifts, though simple, came at the right time when the fishermen needed a foothold to start repairing their boats, mending their nets, and daring to hope for future trips out to sea.
According to Ms. Dong Thi Anh - President of Gia Lai Province Women Entrepreneurs Association, the total resources of the charity day are 280 million VND, contributed by members and donors from the Vietnam Association of Women Entrepreneurs (VAWE), Thua Thien Hue Women Entrepreneurs Association, Hong Phat Group and VAWE Social - Community Committee.

Essential gifts were provided in a timely manner to help the people of Hai Minh fishing village stabilize their lives soon.
“This year’s natural disasters have caused too much damage. We understand that this support cannot make up for the loss and pain, but we hope that it will give people more motivation to start over. Together, we will overcome this difficulty,” said Dong Thi Anh.
Previously, on November 23, the Gia Lai Province Women Entrepreneurs Association also visited, encouraged and presented 400 gifts to support residents of Quy Nhon Nam and Quy Nhon Bac wards and employees of member enterprises whose houses were damaged by storms and floods. The total value of the gifts was nearly 450 million VND.
