The period 2025-2026 is identified as the key time for cooperation with three main groups of activities:FPT deploys training programs on digital transformation, data and AI for tax officials; Builds AI personnel (AI Agents) to support people and businesses in the process of fulfilling tax obligations; Applying AI in internal operations to optimize tax management.
Developed on the FPT.AI platform, Ho Chi Minh City Tax AI Agents will be provided with accurate information based on the system of legal documents and the most updated instructions of the tax industry. From there, Agents will quickly provide instructions, support taxpayers when they need to look up procedures, use the eTax Mobile application and answer questions consistently and accurately.
AI Agents are expected to support more than 361,879 business households in Ho Chi Minh City when the regulation on converting lump-sum tax to declaration is applied from January 1, 2026. People and business households will have easy access to information, processes, and forms, thereby shortening the time to learn, limiting the need to go directly to the tax office or wait for the switchboard.
For the internal operations of Ho Chi Minh City Tax, AI application solutions will support risk analysis, detect signs of fraud, and compare information from multiple sources. AI can automatically synthesize business data, suggest declarations, forecast tax payable, and support staff in the decision-making process.
In addition, AI Agents play the role of “professional assistants”, helping officers quickly look up regulations, procedures, and specialized documents, significantly reducing the processing time of each file. When deployed synchronously, this solution is expected to significantly improve work productivity, increase accuracy and transparency in tax management in Ho Chi Minh City.
After the signing ceremony, Ho Chi Minh City Tax and FPT Corporation will develop a detailed implementation plan for each phase, select priority processes for piloting, periodically evaluate and expand the scope of application based on actual effectiveness. The two sides will also coordinate to organize training courses, seminars on digital transformation, and share experiences between tax officers and technology experts, to ensure sustainable AI application, in accordance with the specific business characteristics of the industry.
