Preparing for the International Coconut Industry Conference

On the afternoon of November 26, Comrade Chau Van Hoa - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting with departments, branches and enterprises on preparations for the International Coconut Industry Conference - CocoNext 2026.

The International Coconut Industry Conference - CocoNext 2026 is chaired by the People's Committee of Vinh Long province; co-organized by Ben Tre Import Export Joint Stock Company (Betrimex). The conference is expected to take place on December 12 and 13, 2026 in the old Ben Tre province, with a scale of 400 - 500 delegates.

CocoNext 2026 program includes: In-depth workshop, "Smart Agriculture " exhibition and tour of raw material areas and processing factories.

On December 12, the conference will have plenary sessions and three discussion sessions revolving around global trade, technological innovation - circular economy and mechanisms and policies for developing raw material areas.

December 13 is planned for surveying growing areas, experiencing coconut culture and visiting the company's deep processing factory...

The representative of Ben Tre Import Export Joint Stock Company presented the idea of organizing the workshop.

In his speech, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Chau Van Hoa said that the International Coconut Industry Conference - CocoNext 2026 is an important opportunity to affirm the Vinh Long coconut brand and attract new investment resources. At the same time, he highly appreciated the preparation of enterprises and requested departments and branches to closely coordinate to complete the detailed plan, ensuring feasibility, especially for international visitors and related procedures.

The objective of the workshop is to focus on affirming the strategic position of Vinh Long after the merger as the center of coconut industry development in Vietnam and the region; at the same time, creating momentum for restructuring the value chain, promoting deep processing, increasing added value and aiming to bring the coconut industry to a billion-dollar turnover by 2026. The entire cost of organizing the workshop was sponsored by Ben Tre Import-Export Joint Stock Company and mobilized from socialization.
