Dien Lac commune urgently deploys work to prevent and combat storm No. 15

On the afternoon of November 26, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Tho - Chairman of the People's Committee of Dien Lac commune said that the commune is urgently implementing measures to overcome the consequences of floods and respond to storm No. 15.

The Commune People's Committee held a meeting with 11 villages and directed the villages to promptly inform the people about the situation of storm No. 15. The commune also reviewed rescue and evacuation vehicles to ensure the safety of people's lives; supplemented necessary vehicles, tools and equipment to serve the work of natural disaster prevention, search and rescue and civil defense.

Currently, the commune's broadcasting system is damaged due to the recent floods, so the commune has directed the Department of Culture and Society to coordinate with villages and related forces to organize propaganda using mobile loudspeakers so that people can promptly update information and proactively respond to the storm. The commune police and the commune's Military Command will check and review vehicles and arrange evacuation forces. At evacuation sites, it is necessary to prepare fuel and necessities for people.

After the meeting of the Commune People's Committee, the villages held meetings with the heads of the Fatherland Front Committee, socio- political organizations, and grassroots security teams to deploy storm response plans. In particular, the villages propagated and mobilized people to brace their houses, reinforce roofs, and protect their properties; at the same time, they needed to comply with evacuation orders from the authorities in bad situations caused by natural disasters.
