Conference on Party newspapers of Northern provinces and cities: "Promoting the tradition of revolutionary journalism, pioneering digital transformation, accompanying the country into a new era" - Lang Son Newspaper and Radio and Television Station

- On the morning of May 16, in Hanoi , Hanoi Moi Newspaper hosted the 30th conference of party newspapers in the northern provinces and cities in 2025 with the theme "Promoting the tradition of revolutionary journalism, pioneering digital transformation to accompany the country into the new era".

Attending the workshop were comrade Le Quoc Minh, member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association ; representatives of a number of departments, branches and organizations of the Hanoi Party Committee; leaders and reporters of 30 central and local press agencies.

The report presented at the workshop stated that, in the context of the world entering the era of the 4.0 Industrial Revolution with profound and comprehensive changes in all areas of social life, our country is facing unprecedented opportunities and challenges. The new situation places an urgent requirement on the Vietnamese press to strongly and comprehensively innovate, constantly improve the quality of content and form, and meet the increasingly high and diverse information needs of the public. In particular, in the strong flow of the digital revolution, digital transformation is no longer a trend, but a vital requirement for every press agency.

The Party newspaper system, as the voice of the Party Committee, government and people of localities, more than anyone else must be a pioneer in the digital transformation process, strongly applying information technology and artificial intelligence to press activities, creating attractive, multimedia press products that spread strongly, contributing to orienting public opinion and strengthening people's trust in the leadership of the Party and State.

This workshop is a forum for press and media agencies in the North to update new content on digital transformation of journalism; share and evaluate the current situation and issues facing journalism in the context of current digital transformation. From there, propose orientations and solutions to promote digital transformation in the journalism field in a manner appropriate to the capacity, operational practices and development strategies of each press agency, especially local party press agencies.

At the workshop, delegates discussed in depth, assessed the current situation and proposed solutions to improve the quality of content of Party newspaper publications, bringing the Party's policies and Resolutions into life most effectively; shared experiences and proposed effective digital transformation models for local Party newspaper agencies; the role of Party newspapers in accompanying localities in implementing socio-economic development goals, ensuring national defense and security, building a strong Party and political system in the new era; improving the capacity of Party newspaper staff, reporters and editors to meet the requirements of modern journalism and the digital transformation process...

Speaking at the workshop, comrade Le Quoc Minh, member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association highly appreciated the digital transformation efforts of press agencies and the Party newspaper system. At the same time, he shared that with the strong development of science and technology, artificial intelligence (AI) is playing a particularly important role in the digital transformation process of the press in particular and is an inevitable trend for press agencies to innovate and develop. However, to successfully implement digital transformation and effectively promote the strengths of AI, press agencies in general and the Party newspaper system in particular must continuously innovate to be able to meet the increasing needs of readers through continuous thinking, innovation, creativity and launching new and attractive press products to attract readers, especially in the context of strong development of social networks as today.

He affirmed that despite major changes after the reorganization and streamlining, the Party newspaper system still maintains its pivotal role in the revolutionary press system; continuing its mission of guiding the public, bringing the Party newspaper system to develop strongly in the new period. At the same time, he believed that the press agencies would have strong development steps, meeting the increasing needs of readers in the new period.
