Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Sports Festival, comrade Nguyen Van Khiet - Deputy Director of the State Bank of Vietnam, Ninh Binh Branch, Chairman of the State Bank of Vietnam Trade Union, representative of the Vietnam Banking Trade Union in Ninh Binh province, affirmed: The Ninh Binh Bank Trade Union Sports Festival in 2023 is a practical activity, part of a series of activities to celebrate the 72nd anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Banking Industry (May 6, 1951 - May 6, 2023), the 48th anniversary of the Liberation of the South, National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2023) and the Trade Union Congresses at all levels. This is a traditional activity of the Ninh Binh Banking Industry, receiving the support and participation of a large number of cadres and union members of banking units in the province; It is also a healthy and useful playground, creating a vibrant competitive atmosphere, contributing to improving the physical fitness and health of the staff, civil servants, public employees and workers of the industry. At the same time, it is also an opportunity for units to exchange, learn, and share experiences, strengthen solidarity between athletes and units in the area, determined to strive to excellently complete the political tasks of the industry, continuing to effectively contribute to the economic and social development of the province.

Comrade Nguyen Van Khiet - Chairman of the Provincial Trade Union of the State Bank of Vietnam, representative of the Vietnam Bank Trade Union in the area delivered the opening speech of the Sports Festival.

This sports festival has the participation of over 300 athletes from 19 teams of local bank branches, competing in 6 events: table tennis, badminton, tennis, soccer, tug of war and volleyball.

Mini football will take place from April 12 to April 24, 2023. Volleyball will take place from April 19 to April 23, 2023. The remaining competitions will take place on April 25, 2023 after the Opening Ceremony.

Awarding prizes to high achieving athletes

The volleyball final took place on the afternoon of April 23, 2023 at the provincial State Bank volleyball court. The team of the provincial State Bank branch showed outstanding performance from the beginning of the tournament and won the first prize, which was completely deserved. On the afternoon of April 25, 2023, the final matches of men's and women's football took place. As a result, the team of the Provincial Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development and the Tam Diep Investment and Development Bank were crowned champions of the men's and women's football after extremely attractive penalty shootouts.

After a day of exciting and enthusiastic competition, with a noble sportsmanship spirit, the athletes completed the competition contents well. The Organizing Committee awarded Cups and Medals to the teams and athletes with high achievements and awarded prizes to the 2 oldest male and female athletes participating in the tournament.

Regarding the overall team award, the athlete team of the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development of Ninh Binh province won the first prize, the second prize went to the athlete team of the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade of Tam Diep branch, the third prize went to the State Bank of Vietnam provincial branch and the Bank for Investment and Development of Tam Diep.
