On the morning of December 23, the Department of Science and Technology of Cao Bang province, the People's Committee of Thach An district, the Institute of Economic Research and Human Resources Development - Thai Nguyen University of Economics and Business Administration jointly organized a scientific workshop to evaluate and provide solutions to improve economic efficiency in exploiting and developing Cao Bang black jelly products.

Currently, the area of black jelly cultivation in the whole district is over 496 hectares, with an output of 2,500 tons, bringing the people about 80 - 100 billion VND/year. In 2020, the Department of Intellectual Property granted a certificate of registration of the "Black Jelly - Thach An" certification trademark to the People's Committee of Thach An district. From 2021 to present, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of the district has granted the right to use the trademark to 11 households producing black jelly in Thach An district.
The workshop proposed solutions to complete the system of management tools, exploit and develop the certification mark "Thach An Black Jelly - Cao Bang" such as: promoting information, propaganda, and promoting product brands, Thach An district supporting enterprises and cooperatives in developing a system for tracing product origin and product labels; expanding the consumption market for specialty and specific products of the district; exploiting and developing certification marks, collective marks and products associated with the OCOP Program in the direction of cooperation and production linkage.
