National scientific conference on solidarity between Vietnam and Laos

( Bqp.vn ) - On the morning of June 14, in Hanoi, the Ministry of National Defense organized the first national scientific conference on "Solidarity of the three countries Vietnam - Laos - Cambodia" chaired by General, Dr. Phan Van Giang, Politburo member, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defense. Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong, member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Member of the Central Military Commission, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, Deputy Minister of National Defense chaired the conference.

The Organizing Committee of the conference received 30 presentations from generals, experts and scientists in the country. The presentations were carefully prepared, of high quality, and presented many arguments, evidence, viewpoints, assessments and in-depth, objective and comprehensive analyses of the solidarity and friendship between Vietnam - Laos - Cambodia in history and at present, serving as a basis for the Project Management Board to research and compile the project.

At the workshop, delegates analyzed and clarified basic issues of theory and historical practice in the process of building and developing solidarity between Vietnam - Laos - Cambodia in the periods: 1930 - 1945, 1945 - 1954, 1954 - 1975; proposed practical solutions to strengthen solidarity, maintain traditional relations between the three peoples and armies of Vietnam - Laos - Cambodia, maintain a peaceful , stable and sustainable development environment in the new situation.

Speaking at the workshop, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong highly appreciated the effective coordination of the Central Committees, Ministries, branches, relevant agencies and units, and the enthusiastic and valuable contributions and opinions, which contributed significantly to the success of the workshop.

Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong requested the Project Management Board to absorb all the comments and contributions; focus on analyzing and evaluating more deeply and comprehensively the position, role, and foundation for the formation of the Vietnam - Laos - Cambodia relationship in history; the current state of the relationship between the three nations, the three Governments and the armies of Vietnam - Laos - Cambodia and the factors affecting the relationship between the three countries in the new context. On that basis, propose feasible solutions to continue to consolidate and strengthen the solidarity and friendship between the three nations. Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong also requested the unit in charge of implementing the project to continue to coordinate closely with relevant agencies to carry out the next research tasks on schedule, ensuring quality.
