Workshop on replicating the production linkage model associated with the consumption of cocoa products

On the morning of December 27, at Suoi Cat Cacao Agricultural Service Cooperative, the Department of Rural Development and Quality Management of Agricultural, Forestry and Fishery Products of Dong Nai province coordinated with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Xuan Loc district to organize a workshop on replicating the production linkage model associated with the consumption of cocoa products for more than 50 farmers in the two districts of Xuan Loc and Trang Bom.

At the workshop, Mr. Truong Van My, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Suoi Cat Cocoa Service Cooperative, shared about the achievements in the production linkage model associated with the consumption of cocoa products. Accordingly, the model has helped farmers in the cooperative increase their income from 700 to 800 million VND/ha from cocoa trees. In which, the cooperative has produced cocoa products made from local gardens such as: cocoa wine, cocoa butter, cocoa powder, various types of chocolate and there are 02 products that have achieved 3-star Ocop certification at the provincial level, which are pure cocoa powder and milk chocolate. At the same time, with the development of sustainable organic agriculture associated with experiential tourism to increase the value of agricultural products, create more jobs, and increase income for farmers; Xuan Loc cocoa garden has just been recognized as Ocop tourism in 2024.

The workshop on replicating the production linkage model associated with cocoa product consumption has helped farmers in Xuan Loc district to have more confidence in the quality and output of cocoa products, thereby boldly investing, changing the purpose of crops, and improving economic efficiency for their families.
