The 1st Buon Ma Thuot City Open Kite Competition, 2024

On January 13, the Center for Culture, Sports and Tourism of Buon Ma Thuot City organized the 1st Buon Ma Thuot City Open Kite Competition in 2024.

The competition was attended by 11 kite clubs from many provinces and cities across the country: Di An City (Binh Duong); Thu Dau Mot City (Binh Duong); Binh Phuoc Province; Vung Tau City; Dak Nong Province; Lam Dong Province; Ho Chi Minh City. Dak Lak Province has clubs from Buon Ma Thuot City, Ea Kar District, Krong Ana District and Ea Sup District.

At the contest, the teams competed in the following categories: Beautiful flute; Beautiful kite; Kite flying over the bell.

At the end of the contest, the Organizing Committee awarded certificates and prizes to the teams with excellent achievements in the 3 contest categories. In the Beautiful Flute competition, the first prize went to the Cu Jut Flute Kite Club - Dak Nong; the second prize went to the Dai Dang Flute Kite Club - Thu Dau Mot City, Binh Duong; the third prize went to the Lam Dong Flute Kite Club.

In the Beautiful Kite competition, the first prize went to Buon Ma Thuot City Kite Club; the second prize went to Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Kite Club; and the third prize went to the Homeland Kite Club - Binh Phuoc.

The best Kite Flying Award belongs to the Ea Kar District Kite Club.

The program is organized with the aim of preserving, maintaining and developing the beauty of folk culture of the flute kite. Thereby, creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere on the occasion of Tet and spring. At the same time, building a useful and healthy playground for those who are passionate about this sport across the country, contributing to promoting the flute kite flying movement in Buon Ma Thuot city.
