Firefighting and rescue sports competition region I

On the morning of April 18, at Pac Bo Square (Cao Bang City), the Ministry of Public Security coordinated with the People's Committee of Cao Bang Province to organize the 2025 Fire Fighting and Rescue Sports Competition, Round 2 - Region I. Attending were Major General Nguyen Dinh Hoan, Deputy Director of the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department, Ministry of Public Security; representatives of the Public Security leaders of the provinces in Region I. On the Cao Bang Province side, there were Comrade Hoang Xuan Anh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Colonel Vu Hong Quang, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Provincial Police and more than 200 athletes from 12 participating delegations.

Major General Nguyen Dinh Hoan, Deputy Director of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Xuan Anh presented flowers and souvenir flags to the competing teams.

The 2nd round of the CC&CNCH Professional Sports Competition - Region I is an activity within the framework of the 9th "For National Security" Sports Festival in 2025 of the Ministry of Public Security, with the participation of 12 teams from the Public Security of the provinces: Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Lang Son, Thai Nguyen, Ha Giang, Tuyen Quang, Son La, Dien Bien, Lai Chau, Phu Tho, Yen Bai, Lao Cai. Coming to the competition, the 12 teams will compete in 3 events, including: CC&CNCH command; CNCH swimming; 4x100m relay race for firefighting and rescue. Cao Bang Provincial Police is honored to be chosen as the host of the second round of the competition. This is a favorable condition for the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police force of Cao Bang Provincial Police to study and exchange experiences with other provinces and cities, thereby improving the effectiveness in performing tasks, serving well the work of Fire Prevention and Rescue, preventing crimes, maintaining security, social order and safety.

Speaking at the competition, Mr. Hoang Xuan Anh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized: The CC&CNCH professional sports competition not only contributes to training health, improving physical strength, technical tactics, and fighting spirit for the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police force, but also is an opportunity for units to exchange, learn, and share valuable experiences in practical work. This is also a practical activity to propagate and raise the sense of responsibility of the whole society for the work of fire prevention and fighting and rescue.
In Cao Bang , closely following the direction of the Central Government, based on the practical situation and the nature of the area, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee always pay attention to leading and directing the work of fire prevention and fighting and search and rescue. In particular, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police force of Cao Bang Provincial Police is focused on developing to be increasingly disciplined, elite and modern; regularly training, coaching skills, expertise, improving combat health, promptly participating in search and rescue, rescuing people, property and serving the people, contributing significantly to the overall development of the country and the province.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the contest, Major General Nguyen Dinh Hoan, Deputy Director of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, Ministry of Public Security, said that in recent times, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police force has resolutely implemented the instructions of the Party, Government, and Ministry of Public Security on ensuring fire prevention and rescue safety. Since the beginning of 2025, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police force nationwide has participated in extinguishing many fires and rescues; directly rescued and guided hundreds of people to escape; organized the movement and saved tens of billions of VND worth of property. These results have contributed to minimizing human and property damage caused by fires, explosions, accidents, and incidents, creating a safe living environment for people, and have been recognized and commended by leaders and people at all levels.

Athletes participate in the 4x100m firefighting and rescue relay race.

Immediately after the opening ceremony of the Fire Fighting and Rescue Sports Competition - Region I, athletes from 12 teams competed in the 4x100m relay race for rescue and firefighting.

Previously, on April 17, the teams competed in two events: Firefighting and Rescue Command and Rescue Swimming.
