Nhu Xuan: Improving the effectiveness of coordination in taking care of workers' health

The District Labor Federation signed a cooperation agreement with the District General Hospital on the "Union member welfare program" for the period 2023-2028.

In order to ensure the rights and care for the lives of union members, the Nhu Xuan District Labor Federation has signed a cooperation agreement with the Nhu Xuan District General Hospital. Accordingly, workers are given regular health check-ups and free consultation on health issues related to the working environment. The District Labor Federation organizes health check-ups and carries out communication activities to raise awareness about health protection. The Nhu Xuan District General Hospital ensures the mobilization of medical staff, medical equipment, effective medical examination and treatment, in-depth consultation and rehabilitation support when necessary.

As a result, in 2024, more than 1,500 union members and workers received periodic health check-ups. In the first quarter of 2025 alone, the District Labor Federation and the District General Hospital organized 5 health check-ups for more than 500 workers, civil servants and laborers; detected and provided treatment advice for 50 cases of occupational diseases.

In addition, more than 300 cases were consulted and treated for diseases related to working conditions. In particular, health care communication programs were also regularly deployed, attracting the participation of more than 2,000 workers through 20 propaganda sessions. The contents revolved around occupational disease prevention, scientific nutrition and occupational safety and hygiene, helping workers protect their own health.

The District Labor Federation coordinated with the District General Hospital to organize gift giving and free medical examination and consultation for union members and workers in difficult circumstances in Thanh Lam commune.

Mr. Trinh Ngoc Han, Director of Nhu Xuan District General Hospital, shared: "In the past time, we have always focused on health care for workers. Coordinating with the District Labor Federation helps us better reach workers, civil servants, and laborers, thereby effectively implementing medical examination and treatment programs and health consultation. We are committed to continuing to accompany the union in taking care of the lives and health of union members and laborers in the area."

In the coming time, the Nhu Xuan District Labor Federation will continue to closely coordinate with the District General Hospital to improve the quality of medical services, ensuring the health of union members and workers. The support of all levels of unions and medical facilities not only contributes to stabilizing life but also motivates workers to work with peace of mind, contributing to the overall development of the locality.
