On May 19, My Hao town organized the Traditional Cultural Festival "Pigeon Releasing Competition" and sports activities to celebrate the 134th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2024). Attending the opening ceremony of the Traditional Cultural Festival was comrade Tran Thi Thanh Thuy, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of My Hao Town Party Committee.
This year's traditional cultural festival "Pigeon release competition" attracted over 300 flocks of flying pigeons from communes and wards in My Hao town and clubs from: Gia Lam district (Hanoi city), Thuan Thanh town (Bac Ninh province), Binh Giang district (Hai Duong province) and Van Lam district. Each flock of birds participating in the festival consists of 8 birds, each artist takes turns bringing their flock to perform, showing off skillful flights and gliding, creating beautiful shapes, which were highly appreciated by the judges and enthusiastically cheered by the audience. The traditional cultural festival also held many sports activities such as: Women's volleyball competition, tug of war... creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere, attracting a large number of people to participate.
At the end of the festival, the Organizing Committee awarded 1 Special Prize, 1 First Prize, 1 Second Prize, 5 Third Prizes to the artisans, awarded the artisan who released the 134th flock of birds; awarded the teams with excellent achievements in sports competitions.
