(CLO) From today (January 11) to January 12, the Cherry Blossom Festival - Dien Bien Phu 2025 will take place at Flower Island, Pa Khoang Commune, Dien Bien Phu City.


Cherry Blossom Festival - Dien Bien Phu 2025 with the theme "Spring in Muong Village - Cherry Blossoms in Bloom" will be held on January 11-12, 2025 at Flower Island.

Flower Island is commonly known as the cherry blossom "paradise" of Dien Bien province, located in the middle of the vast waters of Pa Khoang lake in Pa Khoang commune.

In addition to the main activities, such as the opening ceremony and art program, there will be 30 booths displaying OCOP products, cultural products, tourism, cuisine ; cultural space of the three ethnic groups Thai, Mong and Kho Mu.

Within the framework of the festival, there will also be a culinary contest "Fragrance of Dien Bien" and cultural and sports exchange activities with pole pushing, tug of war, stilt walking, kayak racing...

It is known that in 2018, for the first time, Dien Bien province organized the "Cherry Blossom Event" to promote tourism and introduce Japanese culture. By 2024, Dien Bien province decided to upgrade the event to "Cherry Blossom Festival" to affirm the tourism potential of the historical land of Muong Phang.

The Cherry Blossom Festival - Dien Bien Phu in 2025 is not only an opportunity to promote the image of the land and people of Dien Bien, but also creates opportunities for businesses and local people to develop tourism and economy, while bringing visitors unforgettable experiences of a Dien Bien blooming every spring.
