Over 110 billion VND was spent on social charity activities.

(CT) - According to the Hoa Hao Buddhist Representative Board of Can Tho City, in 2025, Hoa Hao Buddhist officials and followers in the city will actively participate in patriotic emulation movements and campaigns launched by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels.

The charitable house-building team under the Hoa Hao Buddhist Association of Tan Loc ward built houses of compassion for the people.

The Hoa Hao Buddhist Representative Board of the city and the Hoa Hao Buddhist Management Boards of the communes and wards have mobilized followers to carry out charitable and social activities: distributing 4,270 gift packages to people in difficult circumstances during holidays and Tet; coordinating the construction and repair of 19 traffic bridges with a total cost of over 6.4 billion VND; upgrading 6.3 km of roads with a total value of over 565 million VND. Hoa Hao Buddhist followers in the city also contributed 2.7 billion VND and many days of labor to build 446 charitable houses for households in need of housing; organizing charitable kitchens and providing ambulance services for the needy and poor patients…

In addition, the Hoa Hao Buddhist Representative Board of the city organized delegations to support people affected by natural disasters, storms, and floods, and directly donated 1,920 gift packages; and contributed 70 million VND in cash to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City.

Overall, the total value of social charity activities carried out in 2025 will exceed 110 billion VND.
