- According to the announcement of Lang Son Provincial Police, on the morning of August 16, 2025 (Saturday), in the area of Hung Vuong Street (Luong Van Tri Ward, Lang Son Province), more than 5,000 people will participate in the activity "Moving Forward with Vietnam".

Implementing Plan No. 235-KHPH/BND-BCA, dated July 9, 2025 of Nhan Dan Newspaper and the Ministry of Public Security on coordinating the organization of the activity "Moving forward with Vietnam", including organizing a walking event with the goal of one hour - one billion steps, with the consent of the Provincial People's Committee, Lang Son Provincial Police coordinated with relevant units to organize the activity "Moving forward with Vietnam" in Lang Son province.

Accordingly, from 6:00 to 7:30 a.m. on August 16, more than 5,000 people including officials, civil servants, employees, workers, armed forces, students and people... in Lang Son province will wear red shirts with yellow stars and walk about 2 km (from Hung Vuong street - in front of the Provincial People's Committee gate and some main roads in Luong Van Tri ward and Dong Kinh ward).

The activity “Moving forward with Vietnam” is not only an event responding to the campaign “All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho” and the movement “Stay healthy to build and protect the Fatherland”, but also an activity to arouse and promote patriotism, national pride, and the will to rise up in the new period. At the same time, this is an activity expressing the will of the people of Lang Son for a great goal: For a united, strong Vietnam, ready to step forward into a new era - the era of national aspirations, of the spirit of moving forward for a powerful future.

In addition to the walking activity, on the morning of August 16, people from all walks of life in Lang Son province will also participate in the Flag-Salute Ceremony and sing the National Anthem at 6:00 a.m., following the National Flag-Raising Ceremony at Ba Dinh Square, Hanoi. This will be followed by activities to introduce the beauty of Vietnam and its people through the project "Love Vietnam", as well as promote and encourage people to experience and promote tourism through the NFC check-in system.

The event “Moving Forward with Vietnam” is a community activity of unprecedented scale and significance, taking place at a special moment when the whole country is entering a new development phase along with the rearrangement of administrative units. This is the first time that a walking activity has taken place simultaneously in 34 provinces and cities with 3,321 communes, wards and administrative zones nationwide.

The activities in response to the event "Moving Forward with Vietnam" by cadres and people of all ethnic groups in Lang Son province also aim to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution, National Day September 2 and the traditional day of the People's Public Security.
