Hanoi City Post Office must pioneer in developing national digital infrastructure

This afternoon, August 15, the Hanoi Post Office Party Committee held its 16th Congress for the 2025-2030 term. Standing Committee member and Head of the Hanoi Party Committee's Internal Affairs Commission Do Anh Tuan attended.

At the congress, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of Hanoi Post Office Bui Van Hoang reported on the results of implementing the main production and business targets for the period 2020-2025. Total revenue (excluding telecommunication cards) achieved an average growth rate of 2%/year, 13% lower than the target of the Resolution of the 15th Congress (set at 15%/year).

Service quality has always been improved, meeting the requirements of customers and Vietnam Post Corporation, completing 100% of the set targets. The revenue-expenditure gap achieved an average growth rate of 43%/year, exceeding 33% compared to the set target of 10%/year.

Labor productivity grew at an average of 28% per year (13% higher than the target of 15% per year). Average income grew at a rate of 3% per year.

The target of recruiting new party members exceeded the set target by 124.5% and exceeded the annual plan assigned by the Hanoi Party Committee.

The report also points out limitations, shortcomings, causes, lessons learned and solutions; sets out goals, key targets, breakthroughs, key tasks and main solutions for the 2025-2030 period.

Speaking at the congress, Standing Committee member and Head of the City Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee Do Anh Tuan emphasized that the 2025-2030 period is a period of special significance for the country and the capital, posing new, higher, and more difficult requirements for the Hanoi City Post Office Party Committee, but also full of prospects if there is high political determination, correct and strong actions.

Head of the City Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee Do Anh Tuan suggested that the congress study, discuss and include some key contents in the new term's action program. First of all, it is necessary to continue to consolidate and improve the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party organization, and build a truly clean and strong Party organization in terms of politics, ideology, organization and ethics.

In the digital age, Hanoi Post Office is not only a public service provider, but also has to transform strongly to improve production and business targets, becoming a pioneer in developing national digital infrastructure, modern logistics services, platforms serving e-government, digital economy and digital society.

Promote comprehensive digital transformation in administration, operations, human resource management, service quality and customer connection; enhance the application of information technology, exploit big data and artificial intelligence to improve processes, optimize productivity and control service quality.
