Issue of postage stamp set "80 years - Glory of Vietnam People's Public Security"

Issuing the postage stamp set — Major General Pham Kim Dinh, Director of the Department of Political Work ( Ministry of Public Security ) spoke and announced the release of the stamp set.

This is a practical and meaningful event to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam People's Public Security (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025), and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection (August 19, 2005 - August 19, 2025).

Speaking at the announcement ceremony of the stamp set, Major General Pham Kim Dinh, Director of the Department of Political Work (Ministry of Public Security) stated that, after 80 years of construction, fighting and growing up, in all stages and important historical events, in war as well as peace , in national construction, the People's Public Security force has always been absolutely loyal to the Party, the Fatherland and the people, standing shoulder to shoulder with the revolutionary forces and the people to fight and defeat all plots of coup to overthrow the people's government, protect the country's revolutionary achievements, absolutely protect the safety of the Party and State's headquarters, and make an important contribution to the glorious victory of our army and people in the resistance wars.

The postage stamp set with the theme "80 years - Glory of the Vietnam People's Public Security" was issued by the Ministry of Public Security in coordination with the Postal Department ( Ministry of Science and Technology ), Vietnam Post Corporation on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam People's Public Security (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025), the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection (August 19, 2005 - August 19, 2025) with the meaning of praising the combined strength of the political system and the people in the movement "The whole people protect the national security", in which the People's Public Security force is the core.

“In addition to the great communication significance of the revolutionary tradition and the process of building, fighting and growing up of the People's Public Security force, this also creates an opportunity to introduce to friends around the world about the people and country of Vietnam in general as well as vividly portray the beautiful image of the brave, humane People's Public Security soldier, who forgets himself for the country and serves the people in particular,” said Major General Pham Kim Dinh.

The postage stamp set "80 years - Glory of the Vietnam People's Public Security" was issued from August 15, 2025 to all police officers and soldiers nationwide and communicated to 192 member countries of the Universal Postal Union (UPU) and provided on the public postal network from August 15, 2025 to June 30, 2027.

This is not only an event of profound political and cultural significance, but also a sincere gratitude to the People's Public Security force - those who have been working day and night to maintain peace for the Fatherland and happiness for the people.

At the stamp issuance announcement ceremony, Mr. La Hoan Trung, Director of the Postal Department (Ministry of Science and Technology) said that after 80 years of building, fighting and growing, the Vietnam People's Public Security force has achieved glorious feats, demonstrating bravery, silent sacrifice and close ties with the people.

Those values are the inspiration for the Ministry of Science and Technology to issue this postage stamp set as a spiritual gift, a symbol preserving the noble image of the People's Public Security soldier.

The stamp set includes 1 stamp sample and 1 stamp block sample, each sample is a meaningful story.

Stamp design: Depicts the image of a friendly People's Police officer, close to the ethnic minorities in the highlands. The light bulb in the hand of the Police officer symbolizes the light of knowledge, the attention of the Party and State to all regions of the country.

The image of a young mother holding her child and smiling, with the golden rice fields behind her evoking prosperity and happiness - clearly shows the noble goal and mission, which is also the guiding principle of the People's Public Security force: "Forgetting oneself for the country, relying on the people to work, serving the people".

Block model: Recreating the solemn parade formation of the People's Public Security force under the national flag and the industry's insignia. The bright red background and spreading rays of light symbolize the revolutionary spirit, the strength of solidarity and the spirit of readiness to fight for independence and freedom.

The stamp set uses the main red and yellow tones, associated with the traditional colors of the revolution and the People's Public Security Forces. The images are printed sharply, with sophisticated lines on high-quality stamp paper, ensuring long-term preservation value in both aesthetics and history.

Not only serving the needs of postage stamps, the stamp set is also a valuable document for collection, research and display activities; contributing to promoting the image of the People's Public Security soldiers to international friends.
