Hanoi installs more than 1,000 public toilets to serve people watching parades and marches.

To meet the needs of residents and tourists on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day, Hanoi has installed and put into use more than 1,000 free public toilets, located in key areas, ready to serve 24/7.

On August 15, on many central streets of Hanoi , especially around Ba Dinh Square and parade streets, hundreds of green mobile toilets were installed synchronously, with identification signs "Free Toilets".

Hanoi installed and mobilized more than 1,000 toilets. Of which, the central area of Ba Dinh Square has 230 toilets, the route from the grandstand to the stage has 90 toilets, along the parade route has 75 toilets, and the fireworks display points.

Restroom area always has staff on duty

The entire system was put into operation from August 15 to September 2, with staff on duty 24/7, ensuring water supply, waste removal and deodorization. Along with that, Hanoi also mobilized toilets from agencies, schools, hospitals, businesses, and cafes for customers to use for free.

These are portable toilets, ensuring simple installation conditions and easy mobility.

In addition, about 800 trash cans with white plastic bags were installed at locations along the parade route.

It is expected that more than 6,000 young volunteers will coordinate to pick up trash and propagate people not to litter.
