More than 5,000 young people joined forces to support people affected by storms and floods.

In order to promptly support people in overcoming the consequences of storms and floods, Tuyen Quang Provincial Youth Union has established more than 450 youth volunteer teams with the participation of more than 5,000 union members and young people across the province.

Tuyen Quang Provincial Youth Union received 1,000 cartons of milk from benefactors to support people in flood-affected areas.

The volunteer force was flexibly organized and deployed, proactively carrying out tasks before, during and after storm No. 10, demonstrating the pioneering spirit and responsibility of Tuyen Quang youth towards the community.

The youth volunteer teams have focused on supporting people in carrying out many practical and urgent tasks. The teams propagate and help people to reinforce their houses, move their assets and livestock to safe places, especially in vulnerable areas, prone to landslides or floods; participate in guard duty, coordinate with functional forces to promptly evacuate households in danger, respond to emergency situations, and ensure the safety of people and property.

Immediately after the flood receded, youth union members actively cleaned up the environment, dredged sewers, helped people repair damaged houses, cleaned mud at schools, medical stations and cut off rural roads, etc.

Bac Me commune delegation participated in supporting people to move their assets to a safe place.

Along with on-site volunteer work, Tuyen Quang Provincial Youth Union also actively mobilized social resources to support the affected people. On the afternoon of October 2, Tuyen Quang Provincial Youth Union received 1,000 cartons of milk from benefactors. The Youth Union branches across the province also simultaneously launched and mobilized resources, donated cash, necessities such as rice, instant noodles, warm clothes and other essential items.
