As soon as the storm subsided and the floodwaters receded, schools began to clear mud, clean the schoolyard, scrub desks and chairs, and dry materials and learning tools. Ms. Dang Thi Tuyet Nhung, Vice Principal of An Dinh Kindergarten (Tuy An Bac Commune) said that the school has a main school in Dinh Trung 2 village and 2 satellite schools in Phong Hau village and Phong Nien village. During the storm and flood on the night of November 6, the main school was flooded nearly 2 meters, and the 2 satellite schools were flooded more than 2 meters. After the floodwaters receded, the school mobilized all staff and teachers to clean up mud and trash; tables, chairs, and other usable items were cleaned so that the children could return to school on November 10.

At many schools in Dong Xuan and Phu Mo communes... where prolonged floods have made it difficult to preserve equipment. At Phu Mo Primary School, floodwaters rose rapidly, reaching the ceilings of classrooms, damaging all teaching equipment. Mr. Le Ngoc Hoa, the school's principal, shared: "The whole school has 309 students, with 4 school sites. Of which, the main school (100 students) suffered the most damage. After the flood receded, the school asked the army and police forces and mobilized all staff and teachers to clean up tables, chairs, mud, trash, and dry books and notebooks... For books and notebooks that were wet and swept away by floodwaters, the school dried them and proactively bought them back, and the school was supported with books and notebooks for the students to study."
On the morning of November 9, schools affected by storm No. 13 basically completed repairing damage and disinfecting to ensure safety before students returned to class. At Xuan Son Bac Primary and Secondary School (Dong Xuan Commune), teachers were racing against time to bring the school's 343 students back to class on the morning of November 10. Mr. Nguyen Van Thang, the school's principal, said: "16 classrooms flooded by floodwaters have been cleaned, desks and chairs have been cleaned, and teaching aids have been dried. The school will allow students of all grades to return to school on Monday morning to review and prepare for mid-term exams."
In response to the damage caused by storm No. 13, the Department of Education and Training directed units and schools to make efforts to repair and clean up fallen trees, metal roofs, broken glass, etc.; clean up mud and dirt, quickly clean the school yard, classrooms, kitchen areas, dormitories, etc. to ensure a clean environment to welcome students back. The Department of Education and Training also requested schools to adjust their education plans and organize make-up classes to ensure the program is completed on schedule.
