Da Nang has given special incentives to human resources in key areas such as education, healthcare, information technology, artificial intelligence and semiconductors; at the same time, it has promoted international cooperation, sent officials, civil servants and public employees for training abroad, invited international experts to work, thereby building a competitive and internationally integrated academic and research environment.

“Thanks to that development orientation and the attention and support of partners and related units, today we are witnessing the 25th International Mathematics Competition taking place right in Da Nang city - a place where knowledge, passion and international friendship converge,” emphasized comrade Tran Anh Tuan.

The VIMC 2025 exam is organized according to the international standards of the International Mathematics Competition (IMC), including two tables: Key Stage II (grades 5-6) and Key Stage III (grades 7-8).

Each student participates in two mandatory rounds: an individual round and a team round. The exam questions are selected from proposals submitted by the expert panels of participating countries. Accordingly, the International Organizing Committee - coordinated by the Chiu Chang Foundation - will select, compile and agree on the official exam questions.
The International Mathematics Competition (IMC) is held annually and rotates in member countries for excellent mathematics students from many countries and territories around the world.

This is one of the most prestigious international mathematics competitions for secondary school students; at the same time, it is a useful international playground, creating opportunities for mathematical talents from many countries to compete and develop their mathematical abilities, establish an academic environment, promote creativity, and develop research.
